Nokia G11: Price, Design, Performance, and Much More

When it comes to providing exactly what you need from a low-cost phone, the Nokia G11 does the job. It’s not particularly fast, doesn’t capture exciting images, and doesn’t have any standout features, but it’s perfect for basic tasks.

The Nokia G11 is consistently dependable. It easily provides three days of battery life without an issue, and it’s also a fairly tough phone that feels like it could take a few knocks.

Nokia G11: Price

On May 27, 2022, Nokia G11 was released in India. The phone costs $255 in the United States and £119 in the United Kingdom. There are two color schemes to choose from: Charcoal or Ice. The easiest color to find is charcoal, a gray close to black. Ice is a blue-green color currently out of stock in the United Kingdom.

The standard Nokia G11 has 32GB of internal storage and 3GB of RAM, which is the model we tested. A second model with 64GB of storage and 4GB of RAM exists but is not currently available for purchase.

Design

The Nokia G11 is a reasonable size. Its 164.6 x 75.9 x 8.5 mm dimensions are standard for a smartphone. It weighs 189g, so it’s not particularly heavy. The display is 6.5 inches in size and has an IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen with a 720 x 1600 pixels resolution. The internal storage is 32 GB, and the RAM is 3 GB.

The phone’s three-lens camera system is on the back of the device. The lenses don’t stick out much, which is a nice touch when looking for a sturdy phone. On the front, the selfie camera is a notch in the top center of the screen. But, again, it’s all pretty standard. The power button functions as a fingerprint sensor, and Face Unlock is also supported.

On the back of the phone are three lenses: the main 13MP camera, a 2MP macro camera, and a 2MP depth camera. On the front is an 8MP selfie camera. Unfortunately, taking a picture with the 13MP lens immediately reveals that the Nokia G11 isn’t capable of capturing much detail.

The macro lens is a huge letdown, and the Nokia G11 struggles in low-light situations as well.

Performance

The Nokia G11 isn’t as sluggish in everyday use, but there is still a slight pause when you open Chrome or another basic app.

On the plus side, simply unlocking your phone takes a reasonable amount of time, which is aided by the Nokia G11’s relatively pure Android 11 experience. This isn’t a gaming device or one that will blow you away, but it does the job.

Battery Life

Aside from the screen, the Nokia G11’s battery life is another highlight. Nokia promises three days of battery life and easily delivers on that promise.

Moreover, when you need to recharge it, the 18W charging support is adequate, with a full charge taking a couple of hours.
