Deadline Hollywood disclosed the information that the potential spin-off will center on the Chicago Police Department and that Dick Wolf, Derek Haas, Michael Brandt, and Matt Olmstead would be the ones to create it and serve as executive producers.

On January 8, 2014, the first season of the show made its debut on NBC as a replacement for the network’s midseason lineup.

The television show was given the green light for a fresh eighth, ninth, and ten seasons by NBC on February 27, 2020. The first episode of the season’s eighth installment debuted on November 11th, 2020. The debut of the ninth season took place on September 22, 2021. The first episode of the tenth season will likely air in the near future.

No, the tenth season of Chicago P.D. will not premiere in August as previously announced. According to information provided by NBC, the premiere of the new season of Chicago PD will take place on Wednesday, September 21, 2022.

Up until this point, there has been no official announcement regarding the number of episodes that will be included in the tenth season of Chicago P.D.
