NCIS: Hawai’i Season 2 Is It Coming In August?

Published by

The Cast members of NCIS: Hawai’i Season 2 were pleased with a warm welcome on the island of Oahu while shooting for the upcoming series.

NCIS: Hawai’i had an impressive debut season, following the tradition of programs like Magnum P.I. and Hawaii Five-0. Some enthusiasts believe that it was even better than Hawaii Five-0.

Regardless of whether it is the better crime drama, NCIS’ most recent spinoff did a good job of transplanting the standard NCIS premise to the Hawaiian Islands.

The island of Oahu, where the program is filmed, is also thrilled about the comeback, in addition to CBS and the show’s viewers. The cast and crew of NCIS: Hawai’i season 2 received a traditional Hawaiian blessing before the start of filming, which included traditional royal maile leis, the welcoming chant Oli Aloha, and Pule Ho’oku’u (a closing prayer).

The following season can only build upon the strong foundation of Season 1 with the return of the whole original cast. Here is a list of all information on the plot, cast, and premiere date for Season 2.

No, the second season of NCIS: Hawaii will not premiere in August, as previously reported. On Monday, September 19, CBS will debut NCIS: Hawai’i season 2 at 10 p.m. ET/PT.

The program is once again airing in the same time slot as its debut season and is immediately following NCIS, which airs at 9 p.m. ET/PT.

The Plot

CBS

Although the storylines for NCIS: Hawai’i season 2 are not yet known, procedural viewers can assume that many of the episodes will focus on a single case that is resolved within the hour-long episode, even though there may be some season-long arcs (like the romance between Jane and Captain Joe Milius).

NCIS: Hawai’i’s first season didn’t end on a cliffhanger, in contrast to its predecessor. As the season came to an end, Jane Tennant hosted a large party for her coworkers and their families. Everything was perfect. Whistler and Lucy were dating, Kai and his father got along well, and Tennant was developing feelings for Captain Joe Milius. There is only left for speculation as to what Season 2 will cover as all the story points appear to have been settled.

Although it appears like Lucy and Whistler will be the series’ leading coupling, there is a good chance that their relationship will endure despite any potential hiccups. On the other hand, Tennant and Milius face a future with a lower likelihood of success. If the captain and Tennant were to date, it would have to be long-distance because the captain was required to return to the Pentagon for a new mission.

The Cast

Parade
  • Jane Tennant played by Vanessa Lachey

The NCIS branch in Hawaii’s first woman Special Agent in Charge (SAC) is Jane Tennant.

  • Jesse played by Noah Mills

Jesse, a seasoned member of Jane Tennant’s team and her lieutenant, is a former big-city homicide detective who moved to Hawaii. He is also a loving father and husband.

  • Kai Holman played by Alex Tarrant

Hawaii native Kai left his home country to enlist in the Marines but later came back to help take care of his ailing father.

  • Lucy Tara played by Yasmine Al-Bustami

While Lucy is the newest member of Tennant’s squad, she still has certain skills, even though she still needs to learn. She also provides youthful exuberance.

  • Ernie Malik played by Jason Antoon

Ernie is a computer whiz and a Cyber Intelligence Specialist for NCIS, but he also has a deep interest in literature, history, and all things Hawaiian.

  • Kate Whistler played by Tori Anderson

After switching occupations, Kate Whistler is now a Special Agent with the Federal Bureau of Investigation after beginning season one as an Officer with the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA).

  • Alex Tennant  played by Kian Talan

The oldest child of Jane, Alex, had aspirations of pursuing a baseball career until he suffered a game-related injury that necessitated surgery and ended his baseball career.

Whether Enver Gjokaj will reprise his role as Captain Milius is the only serious doubt surrounding the casting. In Season 1, he was designated as a recurrent character, and if he returns, Season 2 will probably assign him the same designation. Fans will simply have to wait and watch if the character returns or stays at the Pentagon after Lachey remained mum regarding the status of Milius and Tennant’s romance.

Trailer

A trailer for NCIS: Hawai’i Season 2 is not yet available. It’s too early for a trailer drop because CBS only publishes promos for television programs in the weeks preceding their broadcast dates.
