Is Resident Alien Season 3 Renewed or Canceled?

Resident Alien Season 2 Part 2 was released on 10th August 2022, (Today) and just after the release fans are going crazy and asking for its season 3, so let’s find out will the series be renewed or canceled. 

Resident Alien, based on the same-named Dark Horse comics series, features an alien (Alan Tudyk) who crashes on Earth with the covert goal of eradicating all humanity. “Harry is once again left on Earth where he must confront the consequences of having failed his people’s goal to eradicate the human species,” according to the official description for Season 2.

The second half of Season 2 picks up right after Asta (Sara Tomko) ‘s unexpected action to save Harry’s life and airs on Wednesday, August 10 at 10/9c. They have to deal with the emotional consequences from the previous night while also looking for the alien kid, which causes each of them to come to some important realizations. 

Ben (Levi Fiehler) and Kate (Meredith Garrettson) try to sell Patience at a brand-new resort, Sheriff Mike (Corey Reynolds) and Deputy Liv (Elizabeth Bowen) investigate a significant case, and D’Arcy (Alice Wetterlund) “fights the battle of a lifetime.” 

In the Season 2B trailer, Terry O’Quinn’s The Alien Tracker also returns and shows up in town to see Liv. The deputy is hoping that the Tracker can help her prove to the town that UFOs exist. 

The UCP-produced Resident Alien was a rating smash when it made its Syfy debut in 2021, and it still is. The hour-long comedy-drama averaged 2.3 million viewers in L+7 and is among the year’s top 15 most watched cable programs and dramas.

It has approximately 11 million viewers overall across all airings and was just nominated for Best Comedy Series by the Hollywood Critics Association. 

Will there be Resident Alien Season 3?

As of July 22, 2022, the Syfy network has not yet announced the precise release date for Resident Alien Season 3, as the show was recently renewed.

On the plus side, the upcoming season will undoubtedly contain 12 episodes, and it is anticipated that filming will start on schedule, as it did for the previous two seasons.

Given that the network made the renewal announcement on schedule, the fans appear to be reassured that the future season won’t be delayed and will be released sooner than they had anticipated.  

The release date, if we were to predict, would likely be in the first half of 2023. The start of the series’ rollout will likely be around January 2023, going by the release schedule of the previous season. Furthermore, we would like to underline that at this point, everything is just conjecture.
