Published by

Rainbow (2022) Update: The teaser trailer for Paco León’s newest movie, Rainbow, which will have its world premiere at the San Sebastian Film Festival, is now available on Netflix. On September 18, it will be shown on a 400-square meter screen in front of 3,000 spectators at the Velodrome, the exact location that previously played host to the 2018 premiere of Paco León and Anna R. Costa’s television series Arde Madrid.

In a free adaptation of the literary classic The Wonderful Wizard of Oz, Rainbow, with a script co-written by Paco León and Javier Gullón, places a bet on the fusion of various artistic disciplines, such as dance, fashion, plastic arts, and especially, music, to narrate, in an original and groundbreaking way, the initiation journey of a teen.

Singer Dora, who makes her acting debut, is followed in the cast of Rainbow by rapper and actor Ajax Pedrosa, a Nigerian artist and cultural provocateur Wekaforé Jibril (Spirit Disco), as well as well-known performers like Carmen Maura, Carmen Machi, and Luis Bermejo. Hovik Keuchkerian, Samantha Hudson, Carmina Barrios, Soraya Yasmin, Rosy de Palma, and Ester Expósito worked together specially to finish it.
