Laura San Giacomo Joins The Santa Clause Series on Disney+ in Novel Role

The cast of The Santa Clauses on Disney+ is growing! The streaming network has announced that the actress Laura San Giacomo will be joining the series as a very intriguing and distinctive character for the following program.

As Scott Calvin (Tim Allen) approaches his 65th birthday and realizes he can’t continue to be Santa Claus, the upcoming sequel series takes up. His performance as Santa is beginning to slip, and more significantly, he has a family that would benefit from living in the real world, mainly his two children raised at the North Pole.

Scott sets out to locate a good substitute for Santa while preparing his family for a new adventure in life south of the pole since he has a lot of elves, kids, and family to please. Deadline claims that Laura will play La Befana, sometimes known as a Christmas Witch.

Le Befana is a character from Italian mythology who would give good kids presents on the morning of the Epiphany. She is now residing in the North Pole’s Wobbly Woods.

Disney’s The Santa Clause

Thanks to Disney+, Tim Allen is reprising one of his most notable performances. In 1994’s The Santa Clause, the actor made his film debut as Scott Calvin. He then repeated the role in The Santa Clause 2 and The Santa Clause 3: The Escape Clause.

Allen is making a comeback for a limited series called The Santa Clauses, more than 15 years after the threequel.

Along with David Krumholtz as Bernard, the beloved elf of the audience, Elizabeth Mitchell, who plays Mrs. Claus, will also be making a comeback on the program.

Deadline has unveiled a new cast member as the show’s development proceeds. The series will now include La Befana, the Christmas Witch, played by Laura San Giacomo (Barry).

The definition of La Befana is “a Christmas Witch from Italian legend who, on the morning of the Epiphany, gave gifts to virtuous children. She is now residing in the North Pole’s Wobbly Woods.”

According to the show’s premise, the Santa Clauses will catch up with Calvin as he approaches his 65th birthday and knows he can’t continue to be Santa Claus.

His performance as Santa is beginning to slip, and more significantly, he has a family that would benefit from living in the real world, mainly his two children raised at the North Pole.

The Santa Clauses will also include Elizabeth Allen-Dick, Allen’s real-life daughter, Scott’s daughter, and the franchise’s recurring characters.

Other cast members have Kal Penn, who will allegedly appear as a possible replacement for Scott as Santa, Austin Kane, Rupali Redd, and Devin Bright, all of whom are series regulars. The Santa Clause trilogy’s original Charlie Calvin, portrayed by Eric Lloyd, is not mentioned among the returning actors.
