The episodes from the fourth, fifth, and sixth seasons were, despite being ten minutes long, placed back-to-back in half-hour parts with two segments, in contrast to the three seasons before them, which also had ten-minute episodes divided into their customary ten-minute segments. 

The show is set in Tracksville, a community in a world without adults other than Santa Claus, where children run the platforms and other locations and work with the Mighty Express trains, intelligent talking trains, to plan grand adventures.
