Chuck Lorre, Al Higgins, Eddie Gorodetsky, and Gina Yashere have created the American sitcom ‘Bob Hearts Abishola’ for CBS. The plot of the series revolves around the titular Bob and Abishola. Bob is a successful businessman who runs a sock company in Detroit.
Dottie, his mother, and Christina and Douglas, his twin younger siblings, help him in this business. Bob’s highly competitive nature in business lands him in the hospital after a mild heart attack overpowers him.
In that hospital, he quickly falls for a nurse named Abishola Adebambo. Though there are many differences in their nature, Bob is determined to convince the kind-hearted and hardworking nurse to give him one chance.

The series premiered on CBS on September 23, 2019, with the fourth season renewing in January of 2022. It will air on September 19, 2022, with the first episode.

Robert Wheeler who is known as Bob is played by American actor cum stand-up comedian William Gardell Jr. in the series. From 2001 to 2006 he starred as a recurring character Billy Colavita in American sitcom ‘Yes, Dear’.
In 2006 he was cast as the main role on Billy O’Brien in crime drama series ‘Heist’. As Officer Jeff Hoyne he starred in Greg Garcia’s sitcom ‘My Name is Earl’ from 2007 to 2009. As the titular leading role of Mike Biggs, Gardell starred in the CBS sitcom ‘Mike & Molly’ from 2010 to 2016.
In 2017 he starred as the main character Colonel Tom Parker in the miniseries Sun Records’.

Bob’s mother Dorothy or Dottie is played by American actress Christine Ebersole in the series. From 1977 to 1980 she was cast as Lily Darnell in the American soap opera ‘Ryan’s Hope. In the role of Kit Cavanaugh, she starred in the CBS sitcom ‘The Cavanaughs’ from 1986 to 1989.
Then in 1992 Ebersole starred as the titular Rachel Gunn in American sitcom ‘Rachel Gunn, R.N’. From 2005 to 2006 she starred as Renee in the comedy-drama series ‘Related’.
