The first foldable smartphone manufactured by Vivo is the X Fold 5G. Additionally, the phone offers remarkable specifications and features including a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 CPU, 12GB RAM + 256GB UFS 3.1 storage, and a 4,600mAh battery backed by a 66W charger, 50W Wireless charging, a 50MP quad-camera and a 16MP front camera, among others.

Vivo X Fold 5G Camera and Display
The 8.3-inch foldable AMOLED display on the Vivo X Fold 5G offers a tablet-like experience. The panel also boasts a QHD resolution of 1916x2160px, 360ppi pixel density, and an 88 percent screen-to-body ratio. In addition, the phone’s cover display measures 6.5 inches with FHD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate.
The smartphone has a flat, rectangular bump that supports Zeiss optics. It contains a 50MP primary camera with dual-pixel PDAF support and OIS, a 48MP ultrawide camera, an 8MP telephoto periscope sensor with up to 5x optical zoom, and a 12MP telephoto sensor with PDAF and 2x optical zoom.
As for selfies and video calls, it offers a 16MP front camera with an aperture of f/2.5.
Battery and Performance
The premium Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset powering the Vivo X Fold 5G increases the phone’s multitasking and gaming capabilities. It is manufactured using a 4nm process.
Additionally, it has a massive 12GB RAM configuration with a GPU called the Adreno 730 that performs 30% quicker than the Adreno 660 GPU. The phone’s operating system is Android v12 with Origin OS Ocean overlay on top.
Under the hood of the smartphone is a 4,600mAh Li-Po battery. Additionally, according to Vivo, it supports 50W wireless charging and a 66W rapid charger that provides 0-100 percent in just 37 minutes. The phone also includes a reverse charging capability.
5G Storage and Connectivity
The Vivo X Fold 5G features a sizable internal storage capacity of 256GB, and it also includes a UFS 3.1 storage that speeds up data transfer and app/game startup times. It does not, however, feature an SD card slot, which limits the storage of additional files.
In terms of connectivity, the smartphone offers 4G, 5G (in certain areas), VoLTE with dual-standby, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.2, NFC for quick payments, and a USB Type-C connector. a reminder that, unlike the majority of high-end smartphones, lacks a 3.5mm headphone connector.
Additionally, for online position monitoring, it has GPS with A-GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, BDS, QZSS, and NavIC.
