The Cleaning Lady Season 2 is all set to release soon. Miranda Kwok has developed the American crime series ‘The Cleaning Lady’ that premiered on January 3, 2022, on Fox. The series is based on an Argentinian tv series of 2017 named ‘La chica que limpia’ and is returning for a second season this September.
Plot-
The plot of the series revolves around a Cambodian-Filipino woman named Thony De La Rosa who is a medical doctor now residing in Las Vegas. Thony’s son Luca is suffering from a life-threatening disease. A cutting-edge bone marrow treatment is the only way to treat this disease which is available only in Las Vegas.
But Thony now works as a cleaning lady instead of a medical doctor. Her life alters when a perpetrator named Arman Morales offers her a cleaning job after she inadvertently witnesses a crime and faces the need for protection.
Their criminal organization also gives her the job as a medical doctor. Thus begins Thony’s double life as he cleans up murder scenes dodging laws all the while trying hard to keep secrets from her family.
The Cleaning Lady Season 2 Development and Release Date
The English adaptation of the Spanish language series ‘La Chica Que Limpia’ was announced to be under development on October 22, 2019. Filming of the series began in New Mexico on March 10, 2020.
A second season of the series got renewed in April of 2022 which is set to release on the streaming site on September 19, 2022.

The protagonist of the series Thony De La Rosa is portrayed by French actress Élodie Yung. She was cast as Marvel Comics character Elektra Natchios in season two of ‘Daredevil‘ in 2016 and in ‘The Defenders in 2017.

The character of perpetrator Arman Morales is portrayed by Mexican actor Adan Canto. Apart from being cast in ‘The Cleaning Lady’, Canto also played the main role in the political thriller ‘Designated Survivor’ from 2016 to 2019.
His other tv series appearances include in ‘The Following’, ‘Mixology’, ‘Narcos’, ‘Blood & Oil’, ‘Second Chance’, ‘The Catch’. Oliver Hudson:
FBI Agent Garrett Miller, who is after Thony to track down Arman, is played by American actor Oliver Hudson. He was cast as a series regular in the series ‘My Guide to Becoming a Rock Star, ‘The Mountain’, ‘Rules of Engagement, and recurring star in ‘Nashville’.
The series in which Hudson was cast as the main character is ‘Scream Queens’, ‘Splitting Up Together, and will star as the main character of the upcoming series ‘The Three of Use.
