The Realme 9i is a small but significant taste of what consumers can expect from the company’s upcoming devices this year. Except for the lack of an ultra-wide shooter and a 120Hz refresh rate display, there is nothing wrong with the 9i.
The gaming capabilities appear to be a bit lacking, but the Realme 9i matches up in most aspects of a smartphone experience.
Realme 9i: Price in India
In India, the Realme 9i is available with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage for Rs. 13,999, or with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage for Rs. 15,999. Prism Black and Prism Blue are the two colors available for this smartphone.
Design
The Realme 9i, like many other low-cost Android phones, is made of lightweight plastic with a reflective coating.
The Realme 9i’s lightweight (190g) means that most people should be able to hold and use it comfortably in one hand, but it’s far from a small phone; it has a 6.6 display and stands approximately 165mm tall.
The power button incorporates a capacitive fingerprint scanner, making it easy to unlock the smartphone. In addition, when you hold this phone, the sides and corners are rounded so that the frame does not dig into your palms.
Display
The Realme 9i has a large display, a 6.6-inch FHD+ screen with a refresh rate of 90Hz, and a touch sampling rate of 180Hz. The display is excellent, with adequate brightness and vibrant colors that can be switched between vivid and gentle modes.
Performance
The Realme 9i’s performance is broadly within expectations for a 2022 budget device – it’ll do the basics very well, and in some cases, the combination of performance and the 90Hz display will impress. However, it is lacking in other areas.

You also get dual stereo speakers so the audio can get quite loud. Even after hours of streaming and a little gaming, the phone has enough juice to last an entire day and more.
Cameras
The Realme 9i’s 50Mp main camera can take some good stills, but there are some limitations, as is often the case with low-cost phones; the autofocus sometimes struggles with fast-moving subjects, and low-light shots are generally quite noisy.
For portrait shots, the smartphone has a triple camera setup with a 50-megapixel primary sensor, a 2-megapixel macro sensor, and a 2-megapixel B&W lens. As a result, you can get good daylight and portrait shots with the Realme 9i. In addition, the 50-megapixel camera, which you must enable in the camera app, produces excellent detail in photos.
Battery Life
The Realme 9i’s battery performance is a real standout feature. Even with the higher 90Hz refresh rate, it provided well over 12 hours of power in benchmarking tests.
