Don’t Blame Karma! (2022) Release Date, Cast, and Plot of Netflix Original Film

Netflix has revealed its August 2022 launches and, once again, has had us create time to schedule and arrange all of the most significant series and movie premieres this month. There is a slew of fantastic Netflix movies set to hit the service in the coming months.

Don’t Blame Karma!, also known as Que culpa tiene el karma?, is a Mexican original film directed by Elisa Miller and written by Fernanda Eguiarte and Marcelo Tobar. Jorge “Tocayo” Ramrez has joined as a producer, while Juan Uruchurtu has joined as an executive producer.

It’s unknown exactly when the production of the romantic comedy began, but we do know it finished in August 2021. The majority of the film was shot in the stunning state of Yucatán.

Don’t Blame Karma Synopsis

How many of you have ever noticed how much Aislinn Derbez and Renata Notni resemble each other? It will be much more obvious in this film, as they will bring to life the siblings Sara and Lucy.

Sara is a dissatisfied clothes designer who blames her poor luck on karma. She believes this because of an inadvertent curse from her gorgeous and successful sister Lucy when they were children.

As she battles to keep her Mérida souvenir shop afloat, her equilibrium is shaken when Aarón, her previous infatuation and closest friend who is now a very renowned artist, reappears in the most unpredictable way. Aarón will be marrying her sister Lucy after only very few weeks of engagement, as is customary.

Sara has no other option, other than to face her bad juju and endure the loss of her old young love when her internet lover, Roberto, and her parents, who are set to divorce owing to her mother’s desire for an open relationship, pay her a visit.

Let us ride along the journey of karma and see whether Sara wins in the game of life or her karma gets the best of her.

Release Date

Don’t Blame Karma! was featured in Netflix’s summer 2022 movie lineup, which was revealed on April 27. Unfortunately, the streamer did not provide an official release date then.

But thankfully we know that the film will be available on Netflix this summer on 3rd August 2022. So get ready and save the date, since you got yourself to go on a journey with Sara and her KARMA
