They released an absolutely terrifying trailer today to give us a taste of what the film is about (spoiler: exorcisms and the devil), which I watched and will now undoubtedly have nightmares about tonight.
Yes, Prey for the Devil is about exorcisms, but it focuses on the journey of one young woman who appears to have dealt with the same demon possessing multiple people in her life, beginning with her mother.

In response to an increase in demonic possessions around the world, the Catholic Church has reopened exorcism schools to train priests in the Rite of Exorcism.
Sister Ann, a young nun, emerges as an unlikely warrior on this spiritual battlefield (Jacqueline Byers). Despite the fact that nuns are not permitted to perform exorcisms, a professor (Colin Salmon) recognizes Sister Ann’s abilities and agrees to train her.
Sister Ann is thrust onto the spiritual frontlines with fellow student Father Dante (Christian Navarro) in a battle for the soul of a young girl (who Sister Ann believes is possessed by the same demon that tormented her own mother years ago) and quickly realizes the Devil has her right where he wants her….and it wants in.
