Boo Bitch Season 1: Netflix Release Date & All You Need To Know

Published by

Boo Bitch Season 1 is set to premiere in the US and the UK on Netflix on Friday, July 8. The season will stretch a total of eight episodes. The description provided by Netflix:

“The series, which comes from co-showrunners Lauren Iungerich (On My Block, Awkward) and Erin Ehrlich (Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, King of the Hill) It follows a high school senior who has lived most of her life flying safely under the radar. When she realizes that, over the course of one night, she’s able to alter her narrative. Then she starts living an ‘epic life,’ she jumps at the opportunity… only to wake up the next morning to learn that she’s a ‘motherf*%king ghost.'”

The Cast of Boo Bitch Season 1:

Starring as the series lead Erika Vu, and also serving as an executive producer, is actress Lana Condor.
Joining the actress on this Casper-like journey are a number of breakout stars including Zoe Colletti, Mason Versaw, Aparna Brielle, Tenzing Norgay Trainor, and Jason Genao.

The Plot of Boo Bitch Season 1:

The series basically revolves around the “high school do-over. “The series opens with Erika in narration explaining that she’s dead while catching our first glimpse of her body underneath an also dead moose. Erika and her best friend, Gia, are otherwise invisible to the rest of their classmates and have maintained an under-the-radar presence on the outskirts of the social hierarchy.

Two senior BFFs make a last-ditch attempt to be seen. But when one of them becomes a ghost, she’ll need to really live her best life – while she can. Erika Vu is completely bummed out. She is in her final weeks of high school and nobody even knows her name.

Thanks largely to popular mean girl Riley, who has constantly dissed and undermined Erika throughout the school. But when her best friend Gia convinces Erika to go to a big high school party. Then, Erika overcomes her shyness and becomes the toast of the evening even capturing the attention of sexy Jake C, Riley’s recent ex.

However, when the hungover Gia and Erika retrace their steps the day after to find Erika’s missing necklace, they may have a surprise in store a shock that takes Erika’s finally on-track life in a wholly unexpected direction to say the very least.

Is There A season 2?

Boo, Bitch was always billed as a limited series and it’s easy to see why.
The story is closed-ended by nature. With Gia moving on after settling her unfinished business (yes Gia, surprise, was the dead one all along). There re are no more undead bitches left to Boo their way through a second installment.

Those keen on another season shouldn’t give up hope though. Boo, Bitch could make a comeback if fans are passionate enough. It wouldn’t be the first time (ahem Top Boy) so make some noise.
As of right now though, there are no plans for there to be a second season.
