The Sea Beast: Netflix Official Release Date & Other Update

American computer-animated 2 hours long film The Sea Beast will be available on Netflix from 8th July 2022. It has already been released in a few theaters on June 24th.

The plot of the film is woven with a legendary sea monster hunter as he was astonished to see a stowaway girl on his ship become friends with the most dangerous sea monster. It was an era of terror due to the sea monsters. They made the life of people horrible. And for people, the only way out was the monster hunters.

They were nothing less than god. Great Jacob Holland was one of such kind. Then came the little girl named Maisie Brumble. She stowed away on Jacob’s ship. Jacob further was surprised to see her befriending one of the most terrible monsters of the sea. They together took up the adventure in the most unique form.

According to the director of the film, Chris Williams, it is the kind of film he always wanted to do. It is all about a hero, a larger-than-life figure, who left the known world and moved towards the domain of uncertainty, danger, and adventure.

According to Variety, The Sea Beast is inspired by the era of the 16th and early 17th centuries when the sea voyage was the most enchanting thing in the European world. The world was being discovered, and the natural calamities were taking the shapes of mythical characters, monsters, beasts, etc.

The cast members of the film are Karl Urban as Jacob Holland, Zaris-Angel Hator as Maisie Brumble, Jared Harris as Captain Crow, Marianne Jean-Baptiste as Sarah Sharpe, Dan Stevens as Admiral Hornagold, Kathy Burke as Gwen Batterie. The animation was presented by Sony Pictures ImageWorks. Mark Mancina did the music for the film. The producer of the film is Jed Schlanger.
