Season 3 picks up right where season 2 left off. The Hargreeves siblings have just returned to the present day after once again saving the world. However, not everything is as it appears. When they return to The Umbrella Academy, they discover a different set of superpowered siblings, known as the Sparrow Academy, who lives there.
Is The Umbrella Academy getting Season 4?
Currently, Netflix has yet to officially confirm if The Umbrella Academy will return for a fourth season. But there’s no need to worry just yet. Netflix usually waits a few months after a show premieres before revealing whether or not it will return for more.
Steve Blackman, showrunner, told Screen Rant: “All I can say is that I know what season 4 is about, but we haven’t yet been picked up. We’re crossing our fingers… Like everyone else, we’ll have to wait and see.”
When will The Umbrella Academy Season 4 be released?
Because the season has yet to be renewed, there is currently no word on a season 4 release date. However, given that season 1 premiered in February 2019, season 2 in July 2020, and season 3 in June 2022, it appears likely that the show will return with season 4 in mid-to-late 2024.
Seasons 1, 2, and 3 are all ten episodes long, so we expect season 4 to be the same.
What will happen in Season 4 of The Umbrella Academy?
The plot of season 4 is unknown, but the season concludes with the Hargreeves siblings in a new timeline with no powers. It is also unclear how secure the world is right now. Based on the end credits scene with Ben, we assume they will reunite with him and possibly embark on a quest to reclaim their powers.
Anything is possible with Sir Reginald Hargreeves still looming large and his wife now resurrected.
