Derry Girls Season 3 Updates: British teen sitcom ‘Derry Girls is created by Lisa McGee and has become the most successful comedy on Channel 4 after ‘Father Ted’. The incidents of the series surround Thornhill College which is a real-life institution that director McGee attended.

This institution is reflected in the fictional Our Lady Immaculate College which is a Catholic secondary school exclusively for girls. Five teenagers Erin, Orla, Clare, Michelle, and James go through their lives in the second-largest city of North Ireland- Derry. The time is the end of Northern Ireland’s most conflicting years- the Troubles.

Saoirse-Monica Jackson, Louisa Harland, Nicola Coughlan, Jamie-Lee O’Donnell, and Dylan Llewellyn play the roles of Erin, Orla, Clare, Michelle, and James- the five teenagers respectively.

The filming of the series took place mostly in Derry and Belfast Northern Ireland. The first season of the series made a 100% rating on Rotten Tomatoes and the second season scored 97%. The first episode premiered on January 4, 2018, and the third season concluded on May 18, 2022.

Devi is struggling with the sudden death of her father as well as dealing with the usual drama of high school. In the meantime, she also finds herself facing a difficult choice between two boys- Ben and Paxton.

Maitreyi Ramakrishnan plays the role of Devi Vishwakumar in the series. The series was first released on April 27, 2020, on Netflix. The third season was renewed on August 19, 2021, and is set to release on 12th August 2022. The series’ fourth season is going to be the final one which will premiere in 2023.

Phoebe Waller-Bridge created and starred in the British comedy series ‘Fleabag‘. The titular character Fleabag is a free-spirited woman who is s*xually active, but most of the time is angry and confused.

Waller-Bridge staged a same-named one-woman play at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe in 2013. And initially, the idea of the main character was born out of a challenge that Waller-Bridge got from a friend of sketching for a stand-up storytelling night a ten minutes section. The BBC series has been inspired by these.

Phoebe Waller-Bridge stars as the titular character of Fleabag. The series premiered on July 21, 2016, and achieved 100% on Rotten Tomatoes in both seasons. Waller-Bridge won a British Academy Television Awards for Best Female Performance in a Comedy Programme in 2017 and a Primetime Emmy Awards for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series in 2019.

Robin French and Kieron Quirke created this British sitcom ‘Cuckoo’ which revolves around the refined British family of Thompsons. When the daughter of the family comes back home after one year with her American husband Cuckoo who is a hippy. The shock that the family gets from this unexpected incident is the central theme of the series.

Andy Samberg, Greg Davies, Helen Baxendale, Tamla Kari, and Tyger Drew-Honey are some of the cast members of the series. It ran from September 25, 2012, to January 4, 2019, on BBC Three.

Francesca Delbanco and Nicholas Stoller created this American comedy series that surrounds a group of Harvard alumni. The members of that group are very close to each other and all of them are in their 40s.

Residing in New York City, they deal with their ambitions, clumsy attitude, and their intertwined romance. The series tells the everyday stories of the misadventures of friends.

Keegan-Michael Key, Fred Savage, Annie Parisse, Nat Faxon, Jae Suh Park, and Cobie Smulders are some of the cast members of the series. The series ran from July 14, 2017, to January 11, 2019, on Netflix.

Another series created by Phoebe Waller-Bridge has secured a place on the list. Big Talk Productions produced this British comedy series that deals with a group of people living in a disused hospital as the property guardians of that hospital. All of them are in their twenties.

They have to keep the building safe and have to gain some strict rules in return for cheap rent. But this close relationship and living together render their intertwined relations overlap. S*xual tension also begins to surface.

‘Fleabag’ star Phoebe Waller-Bridge co-stars in the series with Jonathan Bailey, Julie Dray, Louise Ford, Damien Molony, Adrian Scarborough, and Amit Shah. It ran from January 11 to February 15 of 2016.
