One Punch Man Live Action Film in Production. Know more here.

Everyone has heard of the Anime One Puch Man and even loved reading the manga as much as watching the show. Good news for One Punch Man fans, your beloved show and comic is being created into a live-action movie. 

One Punch Man depicts the narrative of Saitama, a superhero who can destroy any opponent with a single punch, but who is bored by a lack of challenge due to his enormous power and tries to find a suitable opponent. 

Sony Pictures has confirmed the signing of a notable action film director for the live-action version of the popular webcomic and anime One-Punch Man. Justin Lin, who is best known for directing several installments of the popular Fast & Furious franchise, as well as his recent and contentious departure as director of Fast X, will be in charge of directing the live-action film starring the strange hero Saitama, who can defeat his enemies with a simple yet powerful punch. 

Variety published this, announcing the signing of the filmmaker behind films like Fast & Furious 9, Star Trek Beyond, Fast Five, and numerous True Detective episodes, among other things. 

More About One Punch Man Live-Action Film

Both Sony Pictures and Arad Productions plan to create a story around the hero Saitama, with more films planned in the future. For the time being, production on the first phase will begin in late 2022.

Let us recall that One-Punch Man began as a webcomic created by the artist ONE, and after achieving widespread popularity among users, it was swiftly adapted into an anime series, becoming one of the most popular animated series in recent years. 

Avi Arad will produce the film, which will be written by Scott Rosenberg and Jeff Pinkner.  

The film’s production was said to start in 2022 itself and we may expect a release date anywhere from the later part of 2023. 

It will surely be thrilling to watch the adventure and fun-filled visuals of the anime come to life but the million-dollar question is which super villain(s) would Saitama fight in the film.  

We may not have a release date yet but One Punch Man and anime fans are surely excited for the film’s release. We hope the film would live up to its anime counterpart.
