The Greatest Showman 2 is about to be released and here are all the details that we could get our hands on for the film.

With ratings amounting up to 7.5 on IMDb, the first part, The Greatest Showman was a superhit. Hugh Jackman has gained world acclaim for his role as Wolverine in the X-Men movie series. Recently though, Jackman has been involved with a lot of musicals on stage and on camera.

The Greatest Showman told the story of P.T. Barnum who is the creator of the Barnum’s American Museum.

Michelle Williams, the lead woman role in The Greatest Showman said, “I would make another one of those in a heartbeat. I wish they’d make a sequel…I really love that movie. My daughter Matilda sang those songs. My mom is still listening to that soundtrack. I love making things for kids that are full of joy and positivity.”

The release of The Greatest Showman 2 is supposed to be in 2023.

In the first film, the most important part of Barnum’s story was told in a very wholesome and efficient manner. So, this film may focus on the other aspects of Barnum’s life or even the story of Zac Efron (Phillip Carylye).

Phillip had full control of the circus after Barnum handed it over to him. In this film, we might be seeing more of Anne Wheeler (Zendaya) too, who plays a trapeze artist in the film.

Barnum played his tricks by opening an air tent. This is well established in the proceedings of the modern-day circus.

The filming of The Greatest Showman 2 could have been delayed due to Covid-19 because the plot of the movie should not have been difficult to weave. Given the fact that the writers took quite some liberty in telling the story of Barnum in their own way, The Greatest Showman 2 might as well have been fictionalized.

For those who would like to view Barnum’s story again, a stage show version is coming in 2023 to West London.

Although there has been no concrete news on when the film is supposed to be released or even if it is in production, the film’s fans and circus enthusiasts are hopeful about its return.
