The Sandman is a series released in 2022. It is based on a book by Neil Gaiman that goes with the same name. The series of books were published between 1989 and 1996. The comic books centre around the character of “Dream”, he is one among the seven unfathomable powers who are older and even more great than gods.

Now, the character is being adapted into television by Netflix, produced by DC Comics. The cast of the series is widely skilled and diverse, below is the list of the cast.

The emperor of Hell. The Lucifer of this series resembles the magazine Lucifer much more than the 2016 series, lucifer that finished on 2021.

Neil Gaiman noted that it would be laborious to reconfigure the Lucifer version that Tom Ellis had played, so, he would slip back to the role of Lucifer within the Sandman, though having Ellis reprised his role was considered.. Gwendoline Christie is known for her role as Brienne in the worldwide acclaimed series, Game of Thrones.

She is the librarian of the Dreaming. The character has been swapped into a female version from its originally male version of Lucien, who is the Dreaming’s librarian in the comics.

Boyd Holbrook is seen in the series as Corinthian:

Corinthian is a character in the comics who is a nightmare and was able to escape the Dreaming. You may know Boyd Holbrook from Gone Girl, A Walk amongst the Tombstones.

A charlatan occultist. Charles Dance played the character of Tywin Lannister in Game of Thrones. He was also in The Golden Child, Alien 3.

The character was a direct representation of the biblical character of Abel, who lives in the Dreaming.

Sanjeev Bhaskar plays the character of Cain:

Another character with direct biblical representation of Cain and the resident of the Dreaming and the brother of Abel.

The kinder and wiser sister of Dream and among one of the seven unfathomable powers of the universe. Kirby Howell-Baptiste was seen in Why Women Kill, The Good Place, Killing Eve, etc.

Donna Preston as Despair:

Desire’s Twin and again, one of the seven inconceivable powers.

Jenna Coleman as Johanna Constantine:

An occult detective and ancestor of John Constantine. Coleman plays two versions of the character, one in the eighteenth-century and another in the present day. We have seen Jenna Coleman in Doctor Who, Victoria.

Joely Richardson is in the show as Ethel Cripps:

The lover of Burgess and the mother of John Dee.

Niamh Walsh as young Ethel Cripps.

David Thewlis plays the character of John Dee:

Cripps’ deranged son whose efforts to seek the truth puts Patton Oswalt plays the voice of Matthew the Raven: The emissary of Morpheus.

Mark Hamill voices the character of Mervyn Pumpkinhead.

The Sandman gets released on August 5th,2022 on Netflix.
