The entertainment industry is hot with the murmurs of Lady Gaga’s bagging the role of Harley Quinn opposite Joaquin Phoenix in the Joker: Folie a deux. Yes, you read it right. The 36-year-old singer and actress may come aboard with the cast of Joker if everything goes well.

Ever since the news has come out, it has set the internet on fire. Her fans cannot stop gushing over the fact that Gaga would portray the character of Harley Quinn. However, as per the reports in The Hollywood Reporter, the character of the Harley Quinn would appear in a different universe of DC. Just a week back, Joker’s filmmaker Todd Philips took to Instagram, put a full stop to all the speculations, and officially confirmed the sequel. The post showcases the cover of the script of the upcoming sequel of Joker titled Joker: Folie a Deux. The following picture shows him holding the script in his hands.

As soon as the news broke out, assumptions were also rife that Academy Award winner Joaquin Phoenix would return as the Joker.

Not only this, as per the sources, the sequel of the Joker, written by Todd Philips, will be a musical drama.
