Oppo Reno 8 Series: A Major Upgrade From Reno 7

Oppo has recently launched the Reno 8 series in China. There are three models, the Reno 8, Reno 8 pro, and the Reno 8 pro +. Still, the company has not released when it would be available globally. This device is almost similar to the Oneus 10R except for the camera on Oppo Reno 8 performs much better and has a few other specs.

Oppo Reno 8:
The Oppo Reno 8 comes with a 6.43 inches, FHD+ display with a 90Hz display. The display is protected with Gorilla Glass 5. The resolution of the display is 1080p and has a punch hole cut out.

The Reno 8 is equipped with MediaTek Dimensity 1300 chipset and is tuned with 12GB RAM + 256GB RAM. The RAM is specified with LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 for the ROM.

If we see the camera, it has a triple camera setup. The primary camera has a 50MP resolution along with a 2MP monochrome sensor and a 2MP macro sensor. The front camera has a 32MP sensor.

The phone does come with all sensors, equipped with 5G connectivity. Reno 8 comes with an 80W fast charger out of the box. The Reno 8 does come with ColorOS 12.1 along with Android 12.

Oppo Reno 8 pro:
The Oppo Reno 8 Pro comes with a larger display. It has a 6.62 inches FHD+, AMOLED display. and has a 120Hz refresh rate.

This phone is interesting because it is equipped with Snapdragon’s latest chipset that is, Snapdragon 7 Gen 1. It would be tuned with 12GB RAM+ 256ROM storage.

It also has the same punch-hole cutout with a 32 MP selfie camera. On the back, it has a triple camera setup. The primary camera is a resolution of 50MP along with an 8MP ultra-wide camera and a 2MP macro lens.

Other features include an under-display fingerprint reader, which is premium. Along with a 4500mAh battery with an 80W fast charger out of the box. It also comes with Android 12 based on ColorOS 12.1.

Oppo Reno 8 Pro+ :
This is a top-of-the-range device. It has a little larger display of 6.7 inches, with an FHD+ OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. It is protected with Corning Gorilla Glass 5. The phone is equipped with MediaTek Dimensity 8100 processor, which was seen in the OnePlus 10R. This device is equipped with 12GB RAM + 256GB ROM. This device has a camera setup similar to Oppo Reno 8 pro but is integrated with Matiaba MariSilicon X chip for enhancing the camera performance. Rest all the specifications are similar.

Conclusion: The range of devices is yet to be launched in India. The range must start at ₹36,999 and could touch ₹38,999. This price range is just expected.
