Motorola Moto G51: Excellent 5G features at budget price range.

Published by

Motorola Moto G51 Update: Motorola is trying to take things a leap ahead. Unlike the brands such as Xiaomi or Realme, they are making focus-oriented phones. The Motorola Moto G51 is one of them. This device is focused only on 5G and a processor. G51 has 5G with 12 bands which are the highest for the cost of ₹14,999.

Box Highlights: The box of the device consists of the phone and the case attached to it, traditional Motorola style. The box also constitutes documentation, a sim tray ejector, a USB-A to USB-C, and a 20W fast charger.

Design: The body of the device is made out of plastic. At the back, there is a Motorola logo in the center but without the fingerprint scanner. The top left of the device has a triple camera setup.

The bottom of the device has a USB-C port, along with a speaker grill and a microphone. On the left side, there is a hybrid sim-card tray.

The right side has a fingerprint scanner, integrated with the power button, a volume controller, and a dedicated Google Assistant shortcut button.

Display: The display of the G51 is a 6.8″ FHD+, IPS display with a 120Hz Refresh Rate and it is tall. The phone is narrow and tall. The multimedia experience is normal. It could have been better if it could have an AMOLED panel.

Camera: Moto G51 has a triple camera setup. A 50MP Primary Sensor, with an 8MP wide and 2MP Macro camera. The front camera has a resolution of 16MP. The pictures of the camera are appreciable.

The colors, and dynamic range, are balanced and the pictures are natural. The wide-angle camera does soften the image and in low light, might get grainy sometimes.

The macro lens does take processing but captures excellently. The front camera also captures selfies perfectly. The videos by the camera module are great. Does support 4K 30FPS.

Specifications: Moto G51 is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 480+. The processor has no relation to the Snapdragon 4 series. It performs much better than Snapdragon 720G. The image processing on this processor makes pictures more enhanced.

The gaming experience on this processor is appreciable. You can play games like BGMI on high graphics and there is very minimal frame drop.

UI experience of the G51 is purely stock android with some customizations. Out of the box, the device is installed with Android 11 and soon there will be Android 12. The UI is smooth and very intuitive to use. There are no bloatware in the software and the phone. The phone is secured with ThinkSheild protection, which is an extra layer of protection.

Battery and Connectivity: The Moto G51 has a 5000mAh battery which can be charged with 20W fast charging. All types of sensors are there in G51. There are 12 5G bands which are there in this device and it is the first in its segment to have 5G with 12 bands.

Final Verdict: this device is a great deal if you are looking for a 5G centric device with extra performance and a new chipset.
