Earlier Mrinal Sen, Mira Nair, Arundhati Roy, Aishwarya Roy, Nandita Das, Shekhar Kapur, Sharmila Tagore, and Vidya Balan have achieved this feat. Deepika kept her Indian fan audience updated with her Instagram posts from the event, her first day at Cannes was spent with the jury members at a dinner followed by an event briefing from the Jury President Vincent Lindon, and a discussion regarding the whole event was held during the briefing.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Deepika’s last move Gehraiyaan failed impress the fans but she will be seen in Pathaan with Shahrukh next year and it is expected to be a banger.Her other ongoing projects include Fighter and Project K, she was expected to be lead role in the Hollywood remake film The Intern, but she is officially out of it.
