Irma Vep Season 1 crime thriller Tv series will be the remake of a French classic silent movie called Les Vampires and it is based on Olivier Assayas’s 1996 film Irma Vep.
The series will premier on Monday, June 6 at 9/8c. It will also be streaming on HBO Max and it will remark its global premiere as an Official Selection at the Festival De Cannes 2022.
Irma Vep Season 1 sets against the backdrop of a lurid crime thriller, it reveals to us the unsettled ground that lies at the border of fiction and reality, deviousness and authenticity, art and life.
This series is created, written, and directed by Assayas, Olivier Assayas is a very famous, reputed, and respected French director working since the 1980s and will be directing all the eight episodes of Irma Vep season 1.

Academy Award winner and the American movie star Mira ( Alicia Vikander) will be playing the main character role of Irma Vep.
The series is also starring other excellent actors such as Vincent Macaigne as René Vidal, Jeanne Balibar as Zol, Devon Ross as Regina, lars Eidingar as Gottfried, Vincent Lacoste as Edmond Lagrange, Nora Hamzawi as Carla, Adria Arjona as Lawrie, Carrie Brownstein as Zelda, Tom Sturridge as Cynthia Keng, Hippolyte Giradot as Robert Dongou, Alex Descas as Gregory Desormeaux and Antoine Reinartz as Jeremie.
The official teaser of the series was released two days ago on youtube which shows how desperate Alicia Vikander is about playing the role of the superhero ‘Irma Vep’.
