Queen Stars Brazil Update: This series is a welcome addition to this kind of reality TV, especially as more drag-and-drop content comes from the corner of the universal Drag Race. The Queen Stars actually have a lot in common with their new counterpart, Paramount + ‘s Queen of the Universe.

That series is a quasi-spinoff of the Drag Race, assuming it comes from the same production company and includes a multi-faceted RPDR face on stage and a panel of judges. Both the Queen of the Universe and the Queen Stars are singing competitions that focus heavily on the art of drawing, but the Queen Stars go where the Drag Race has not yet arrived – literally.

Queen Stars highlights Brazilian drag – a drag style we have never seen on the main stage of any Drag Race series. And on top of that, the show is on the HBO Max, home to much more realistic competition.

While the Queen Stars may focus on live singing as the Queen of the World, the series actually sounds similar to another real HBO series: Legendary voguing competition.

As in a fairy tale, the Queen Stars is accompanied by professional consultants, designers, and songwriters who help them compile the most ill-conceived numbers possible. And like a fairy tale, Queen Stars pulls out all the stops for her numbers. The stage is big, the lights are bright, the cameras are amazing, and the view is beautiful.

The Queen Stars also excelled in some of the toughest competitions because the grand prize is not the only one. The series is actually looking to build a team of three newcomers who will get a recording contract with Universal and R $ 100,000 each (approximately $ 21,000 each).

There are already some of the highlights of the competition, such as stunt queen Sasha Zimmer, bearded belter Diego, and grandmother Leyllah Diva Black.

Drag queen Pabllo Vittar and pop diva Luísa Sonza worked as hosts and sat on the judging panel, where they were joined by vocal coach Diego Timbó, singer/actress Tiago Abravanel, and Brazilian icon Vanessa da Mata.
