Zendaya, the MCU star, revealed a special connection to Peter Parker in a new Spider-Man: No Way Home featurette

The Euphoria star isn’t just connected romantically to Tom Holland, Spider-Man. Tom, plays the latest iteration of the Marvel superhero. The actress has revealed about being a longtime fan of Spidey, and relating to him living a double life.
Zendaya said, “He’s always been my favorite superhero because I think, at the end of the day, he’s just a kid and he has to lead this double life.”
“In many ways, I can relate to that. Referring to the that even she had started in the industry so early.”
“Just like, ‘I’m just a kid, you know, I’m just figuring it out as I go,’ but also having this other, extraordinary, crazy life simultaneously. Relating to Peter’s double life. She further added, “I’ve always connected to Peter Parker in that way and I think everyone can.”
Zendaya’s words for Spider-Man certainly strike a chord with the purists. The real attraction of the “Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man” is just simple.
The fact that he’s a local street-level hero is also a typical city kid trying to make it. He’s not a billionaire like Batman or Iron Man. In addition, he isn’t some idealistic fantasy like a super-soldier or god-figure or all-powerful alien. From his painful conception to relatable struggles Spider-Man is more like an “everyman” of superheroes.
Early Career In Hollywood
Formerly Known for playing Michelle ‘MJ’ Jones in the latest Spider-Man trilogy. The actress landed her first role when she was 14, on the Disney Channel sitcom Shake It Up. After this, Zendaya earned roles in Disney Channel’s original movies like “Frenemies” (2012) and “Zapped” (2014).
Even competing on season 16 of ABC’s “Dancing With the Stars” when she was just 16-years-old. She and her partner, Ukrainian-American dancer Val Chmerkovskiy, took second place.
Before turning 21, Zendaya, in 2014 produced and starred in K.C. Undercover, which ran for three seasons.
Also starred in HBO’s gritty drama, Euphoria. This pushed her to new heights, introducing her talents to new audiences.
MJ And Peter’s Romance
Zendaya then shared some thoughts on her MCU character arc. In 2017, she was introduced in Spider-Man: Homecoming as MJ.
She said, “Playing the character of MJ, it’s been really fun in the first movie. Experiencing the feeling of being a guarded, quiet, mysterious character. Then witnessing the love story begin with her and Peter at the end of Far From Home.”
Speaking about MJ and Peter’s romance, Zendaya also quoted that, “it has been “sweet” to watch how they bring out unexpected sides of each other.”
“Being with Peter has opened her up. Bring out this hopeful, positive, more gooey side of her.”
As we already know that at the end of No Way Home, MJ had her memories forgotten of Peter. Now, there could be some potential for MJ and Peter to revive their romance (or have a do-over, more like) in the future. Making it a possible installment – provided for Tom Holland to don up the suit again.
