Moon Knight Episode 3 Reviews and Breakdown and Easter eggs

Moon Knight Episode 3 is undoubtedly the one till now and it has given us so many easter eggs and so many characters have also been introduced in the same episode. This episode has not only given the depth to MCU but also had fast-forward the story of Moon Knight to a very next level and OMG! the acting of Oscar Isaac is really out of the box in a few scenes.

This article has so many SPOILERS to Moon Knight Episode 3, so if you haven’t watched it yet, please watch it first and then continue this.

Moon Knight Episode 3 Breakdown

The episode starts with Layala, as she can be seen at a studio kind of setup where she is taking the help of an old lady to make a fake passport so that she can go to Egypt. In this scene, we came to know about various things about the past Layala, and here we got our first easter-egg from a comic book.

ABDULLAH EL-FAOULY

Layala’s father’s name is mentioned as ABDULLAH EL-FAOULY and with a similar name, Abdul Faoul there was a character in Marvel comics who was a superhero and had fought to save the pyramids in Egypt.

After that in the next scene, Arthur has located the Tomb of Ammit and Marc Spector is fighting with a few goons to get the location of the Tomb. But in that scene, Steven Grant takes the control of the body and after a few switches, at last, we came to know that Steven had killed two goons, but Steven said that he hadn’t killed and marc was also confused in Moon Knight Episode 3.

So if Steven and Marc both have not killed those men means in the show we have one more personality of Marc and as per the comic book he can be Jack Lockley, but in comic books, he is a very regular persona and a cab driver in England. But I think as MCU has changed the personality of Steven Grant we can say that Jack Lockley could be the third personality and maybe the most dangerous among all the three personalities of Marc Spector including himself.

After that in Moon Knight Episode 3, Khonshu tried to create an eclipse and hence meeting has to happen between all the gods and their avatars, in which Khonshu inside Marc’s body accuses Arthur that he is trying to awake Ammit, and my god the acting of Oscar Isaac as possessed by Khonshu is really remarkable.

But that got failed and after which one Avatar of Goddess of Love and Music told him that one guard of ancient god’s mummies Sainfu can tell them the location of the Tomb of Ammit which he was guarding for some time, and the location should be mapped in his Sarcophagus.

After that Layala and Marc find out the Sarcophagus of Sainfu is with Anton Mogart and here is another easter egg from the comic book Anton Mograt is a villain named Mid Nightman (who has the hobby of stealing art pieces at night). But Arthur Harrow reaches there and destroyed the Sarcophagus. And at that point in time, Marc calls the Moon Knight’s suit and the fight sequence of Moon Knight vs. Anton Mogart’s men is really very good (Although I would have enjoyed it much more if it would be R-Rated like Daredevil in Moon Knight Episode 3 also).

Alas at last Layala tried to take the ancient map which was printed on Sarcophagus and they tried to find out the map, But it was difficult for them so Marc allowed Steven to take control of the body and the switch between the personalities is really a wonder to watch at that time because it wasn’t sudden it was really very smooth this time as Marc had willingly given the control to Steve Grant and I should mention the work on Isaac in this very scene.

At least Steven got the map but to get the exact location Khonshu and Steven tried to get the exact night when the map was drawn and in that scene, Khonshu lost his power and all other gods imprisoned him, after which the Moon Knight Episode 3 ends with Arthur talking to Khonshu’s idol.

Review of Moon Knight Episode 3

I think this episode is the most-approachable one in the terms of Moon Knight’s essence. We had got a lot of new characters and we just got teased that there could be one more personality inside Marc Spector.

The acting of Oscar Isaac as Marc Spector is really out of the world and he will surely get so many nominations and awards for his role this year.

Layala’s fighting techniques have also been explored in this very episode and we have now very much to know about all the new casts and other things.

Moon Knight Episode 4 Details

The Moon Knight Episode 3 has teased so many things for the upcoming Episode 4 as we can have the voice of the new personality of Marc as Jack Lockley and he could be the psycho-killer and the scene from the first episode of van chase in mountains could be because of him.

So at last Moon Knight is in the mid as the series will have only six episodes and three episodes are already over so we can have a roller-coaster ride in the upcoming episode 4 which will be released on 20th May 2022.
