Firefly Lane Season 2: When will it Release on Netflix?

Firefly Lane Season 2 is one of the most-awaited series since its season 1 was released last year in February 2021. and a few days back Netflix released a video on its Youtube Channel, where we can see the stars of the show Katherine Heigl and Sarah Chalke have officially announced season 2.

What was in the Announcement video of Firefly Lane Season 2?

In the announcement video which was released on Youtube by Netflix on 27th May 2021, we can see atherine Heigl and Sarah Chalke are announcing the Firefly Lane Season 2 with a toast, although the video was short it has already caused so much buzz about the upcoming season of the show.

The stars had also discussed some of the burning questions related to the show and what could happen in Season 2.

Possible Release Date of Season 2

Although Netflix has not announced any tentative release date for the Firefly Lane Season 2, as it was not mentioned in the announcement video too. But as per our speculations, the Season 2 of Firefly Lane will be released in late 2022.

Heigl has also confirmed in one of her Twitter account that we will get season 2 of the show in 2022 for sure. As on the release date’s question she had commented “No but it will be in 2022.”

She had also answered a few other questions like, when a fan asked her to give any spoilers she commented “Haha I wish. ❤”

I’m sure that Netflix will surely give us few information about the Firefly Lane Season 2 very soon, although it’s almost confirmed that we will have Season 2 in late 2022.

What could happen in Season 2?

Season 2 will surely start from Season 1’s ending which was really very interesting and worth watching. As season 1 was ended with a major cliffhanger so we may expect so much to derive from season 1.  And few new plots will also be explored in season 2 so there is a line of actors and actresses who could join the cast in the Firefly Lane Season 2.

The main cast who will certainly be recurring in Firefly Lane Season 2 are:

• Sarah Chalke will also be back as Kate Mularkey
• Ben Lawson will also reprise his role of Johnny Ryan
• Alissa Akovbye will also be back as YOung Tully Hart

As per the interview of the creator of the show Maggie Friedman on Entertainment Weekly, Johnny Moment will be back in Season 2, which was the cliffhanger at the end of Season 1.

Greg German, who is known for his series Grey’s Anatomy will also be seen in the role of Benedict Binswanger, who is the son of an influential family in Washington and will cross the line of our key characters in the show, which has been confirmed by Deadline.
