The Boys Updates: The title of the show has not yet been revealed, but it will take place at “America’s only college for superheroes.”
Amazon Studios’ subversive superhero success The Boys will get its first spin-off, which is almost guaranteed to happen given the show’s tremendous popularity. The film, which will be set in a college setting, will star Jaz Sinclair, who previously appeared in Sabrina the Teenage Witch.
“The Untitled the Boys Spinoff,” according to Amazon, “explores the lifestyles of hormonal, competitive Supes as they test their physical, sexual, and moral boundaries, competing for the best contracts in the best cities, set at America’s only college exclusively for young-adult superheroes (run by Vought International),”.
“The Untitled the Boys Spinoff is an irreverent, R-rated series that explores the lives of hormonal, competitive Supes as they test their physical, sexual, and moral boundaries Its half college show, part Hunger Games, with all of The Boys’ zeal, wit, and raunch. Jaz Sinclair, Lizzie Broadway, Shane Paul McGhie, Aimee Carrero, Reina Hardesty, and Maddie Phillips will play young superheroes, with a larger cast to be announced.”
The Boys Spin-Off
Michele Fazekas and Tara Butters are the showrunners and executive producers (notice that these are different names from when the show was first announced; no rationale was given for the change) (together with The Boys showrunner Eric Kripke).
He made a long statement regarding the new series, as well as a couple of unexpected yet enjoyable references. “With a cast of fascinating, complicated, and occasionally homicidal Young Supes,” Kripke continued, “it’s our take on a college show.” “Michele and Tara are incredible visionaries, and we’re thrilled to have them as our leaders.”
