This week, Apple is expected to bring a new emoji, Face ID display mask, and more to your iPhone.
Apple’s next update for the iPhone is likely to begin this week, with the company’s first annual event scheduled for March 8. iOS 15.4 introduces five beta versions and AirTag compliant notifications, Siri Voice bisexual selection, new emojis.

As the name suggests, iOS 15.4 is the fourth major update to iOS 15, launching in September along with the iPhone 13. These updates, which began with the release of iOS 15.1 in December, have been updated to add additional features to the enhanced performance of Apple’s iPhones and other electronic devices by apple. iOS 15.4 follows iOS 15.3.1, which was released last month, making it security risk-free for iPhones and iPads.
As with all beta apps, we recommend that you download it to a test device instead of your main iPhone. The beta release is meant to test stability and bug fixes, which means it’s not as advanced as release versions – you’ll probably experience battery life and poor app performance.
When is the iOS 15.4 release date?
Apple has not yet announced a release date for iOS 15.4, but we can see the update at Apple’s March 8 event as we look forward to the iPhone SE 3 and the updated iPad.
How do I download iOS 15.4 Beta?
You must first sign up for the Apple Beta Software Program. Once in the program, download Apple’s configuration profile. You can get the latest beta version by going to Settings> General> Software Update and selecting to download and install. Also, due to the buggy nature of beta testing, we only recommend it for other testing devices.
What is Universal Control?
Universal Control allows you to use other devices as a second screen, using only one device to easily transfer content between them. The expected feature was announced as part of the Makos Monterey, but was delayed until the autumn with a new timeline called “This Spring”.
However, Universal Control is installed in iOS 15.4 Beta and is expected to be released next to the Monterey OS 12.3 update.
Can I use a Face ID while wearing Mask?
Apple is updating the Face ID feature used when wearing a mask. Since this feature uses a small part of your face to verify your identity, you need to be more precise about the angle at which you hold your phone when using Face ID.
Your phone notifies you when you need to look directly at the screen. The updated feature applies to people who wear glasses, but it does not work with sunglasses.
What new emojis are coming?
If you are an enthusiast to use artistic and fun emojis, you will love iOS 15.4. 37 new emojis are being updated, including new pregnancy options, mood swings, greetings, and – my favorite – lip-biting emojis. The emoji last appeared which had their face melted, spotted face, birds nest, coral, eczema, low battery, and kidney beans.
Another feature included in the update is the ability to copy text to objects using the camera while in the Notes app or reminders. Additionally, as noted by ZDNet, iOS 15.4 Beta also fixes an error that exists in recording Siri interactions.
