Star Trek: Picard Season 2 is the eighth series of the Star Trek Universe, expanded by Kurtzman. The series brings back Jean-Luc Picard after he was last seen in the 2002 movie ‘Star Trek: Nemesis’. The series introduces Jean-Luc Picard who has received devastating effects from the death of Data in that film. The destruction of Romulus, the planet in a later film ‘Star Trek’ also affected him.

The Season 1 of the series begins in the setting of the year 2399. Twenty years have already passed since the events of ‘Star Trek: Nemesis’. A retired Picard now lives at the vineyard of his family. But when Data’s apparent daughter, a synthetic being approaches him, adventures awake once again in the life of Picard. Season one ends with Picard sacrificing his life to save the synthetic beings and having rebirth through the restoration of his consciousness in a synthetic body.

Star Trek: Picard Season 2 Casts Real Age, Life Partners

The second series of the season is essentially a time travel story. When Picard along with his companions gets trapped in the twenty-first century as Q breaks the reality, Picard must embark on a fight with his own history and go against time to save the future galaxy. The series brings back characters from ‘Star Trek: The Next Generation among whom the most important is Q.

Though the first season of ‘Star Trek: Picard aired long back on January 23, 2020, the release of the second season was delayed due to the Covid pandemic. The new season is finally set to arrive on March 3, 2022.

Now, who is going to be there in Season 2 besides Picard and Q? How are the lives of the casts starring these extraordinary characters in real lives?

Patrick Stewart (Jean-Luc Picard)-
Jean-Luc Picard is the former admiral of Starfleet. In protest of the Federation’s choice of not helping the Romulans after the destruction of the planet, Picard retired from the post. In this series, Picard tries to make amend for his past actions and can be found suffering terribly.

The death of Data has affected him very much which is why when Data’s apparent daughters Dahj and Soji Asha show up, he becomes compelled to embark upon a new adventure.

Sir Patrick Stewart has been starring in the character of ‘Picard’ since ‘Star Trek: The Next Generation’. His acting career spans six long decades. The veteran British actor received Emmy, Golden Globe, Screen Actors Guild nominations and was also knighted for his contribution to drama by Queen Elizabeth II. The 81 years old actor was previously married to Sheila Falconer and Wendy Neuss previously. Now he is married to Sunny Ozell since 2013 and is the father of two children.

Alison Pill (Agnes Jurati)-
Agnes Jurati is a doctor who was in Starfleet with Picard. She has expertise over synthetic lives which is why she joins Picard in this new mission.

Canadian actress Alison Pill began her acting career from the age of twelve. Besides ‘Star Trek: Picard’, her filmography includes the films ‘Plain Truth’, ‘Midnight in Paris’, ‘Vice’, ‘Zoom’ and TV Series ‘American Horror Story: Cult’, ‘The Pillars of Earth’, etc. The 36 years old actress is married to Joshua Leonard since 2015 and is the mother of one child.

Isa Briones (Dahj and Soji Asha)-
Dahl and Soji Asha are a couple of twin androids who have organic bodies. They have been created as the dead Data’s daughters. They approach Picard with the new mission in his life. Dahl and Soji are among the many synthetic bodies that have been newly created. They are called “synths”.

American actress Isa Briones is also a singer. Besides ‘Star Trek: Picard’ she has also appeared in ‘Takers’, ‘The Assassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story, ‘The Ready Room’. The 23 years old actress is currently dating Blaine Miller, a partner of her musical duo.

John de Lancie (Q)-
Q appears in ‘Star Trek: The Next Generation’ as well as in ‘Deep Space Nine’, ‘Lower Decks’, ‘Voyager’ before returning in ‘Star Trek: Picard’. Q is an extra-dimensional being. His origin is unknown and he possesses immense power over space, time, physics laws, and literally everything that controls reality and existence.

Q exploits these according to his whim and self-interest. In the second season of ‘Star Trek: Picard, he makes a breach in the reality that renders Picard and his companions to be trapped in the twenty-first century.

Though there is more than one actor portraying Q, John de Lancie is the most notable face. He is an American actor with a lot of experience. He played the role of Eugene Bradford in the famous soap opera ‘Days of Our Lives. He also starred in ‘Breaking Bad’. The 73 years old actor is married to Marnie Mosiman and is the father of two children.
