Avatar 2: Confirmed Release Date, Cast and Plot Updates

Avatar 2 has finally got a confirmed release date after 13 years of continuous delay the Oscar-winning movie has got a sequel. James Cameron’s Avatar was released in 2009, then he was working on its sequel which was scheduled to release in 2014 due to some production reasons.

Good News for the fans as Avatar 2 is coming to the theaters this year in 2022. Although James Cameron has already announced that Avatar will have four Sequels and only Avatar 2 has taken 13 years to get a release date, I think we have to wait much longer for All the Sequels of the film.

The main reason behind the delay of these movies is the technological development and the research work which is required to make these movies. On the process of the Avatar Sequel’s Production, Cameron had said once to Entertainment Weekly that:

“It sounds kind of nuts, the process…I mean, if Avatar hadn’t made so much damn money, we’d never do this – because it’s kind of crazy.”

Well, all these years are worth enough for Cameron’s Production as two of his movies Titanic and Avatar both are in the top 3 highest-grossing movies of all time.

The Confirmed Release Date of Avatar 2

Finally, we have the release date of Avatar 2 which is 16th December 2022 in theaters. The film will be released globally on the same date, Although the production of the film has not been completed yet, as per Cameron the left production part will be wrapped by September 2022.

The Cast of the Film

The maximum part of the film is based on the motion-capture technique and the cast has been trained very hard to act in that environment.

And various motions were captured underwater as the maximum part of Avatar 2 will be based underwater world of Pandora. The Cast who will reprise from the first part are:

Sam Worthington will play the role of Jake Sully – who has left his body and started living inside his Avatar in the first sequel.

Zoe Saldana who is playing Neytiri will also be back in the Sequel as Jack and Neytiri both are the central part of the film.

Other characters from Pandora and Earth will also reprise their characters in the Sequel.

Few new faces will also join the casts like Kate Winslet, Jemaine Clement, Jack Champion, David Thewlis, Michelle Yeoh, Oona Chaplin, Edie Falco, and Cliff Curtis as per the Empire Magazine.
