Bridgerton Season 2 is all set to release in March 2022 and one of the major cast Nicola Coughlan has shared her character’s changes in the upcoming season in an interview with BBC Radio.
As we all know Season 2 of Bridgerton is to be available to watch on Netflix on March 25, 2022, and as per the trailer season 2 will revolve around Anthony Bridgerton(Jonathan Bailey) and Kate Sharma (Simone Ashley), and apart from these two characters, the season 2 will be more interesting as in the last season we had come to know that the mysterious character who was writing journals about the big families is nonother than our shy and chubby Penelope Featherington and in this season we will know more interesting aspect about her character.
Nicola Coughlan who plays the role of Penelope Featherington in one of the most successful series Bridgerton on Netflix has shared about her character in season 2 in an interview with BBC Radio.
In the interview, she has shared about the character development of Penelope she had said: After the reveal of her character in the previous season, the next season will remove various curtains and layers of Penelope.
She had told to BBC Radio:
‘We see how she gets away with the things that she gets away with. And for me, it was so much fun because in series one she’s a shy, retiring wallflower, and then series two you go, “oh, she’s got all this new stuff going on,” and it was extremely fun to film.’
On the success of the show, she had told that she was also not sure about the success of the period drama or it will go so viral on the OTT giant Netflix.
About Bridgerton Season 2
The series Bridgerton is based on the novels written by Julia Quinn which revolves around the Regency Era and the first season was about Daphne Basset (Phoebe Dynevor) and Simon Basset’s marriage played by English actor Regé-Jean Page. And at the end, we came to know that Penelope could be the central part of Season 2.
