He was famously known for the genre of comedy that he reflects in his movies as director and producer. He was also the owner of The Montecito Picture Company which he started in 1988.
If we talk of his career that he had done and built that were numerous films that he made. Among them that he directed were: Metaballs that came in 1979, then Stripes in 1988. He had also directed his most famous work called Ghostbusters in 1984 and the sequel came in the year 1989.
Also directed movies like Twins, Kindergarten Cop, Dave in 1993. He as a producer has also done some amazing works as he produced: Animal House in 1988, Beethoven in 1992, Space Jam in 1996, Private Parts in 1997. His first work as a producer was when he got a job where he produced in CITY-TV.
The devastating death of the Director has indeed hit many people, especially his family members. Ivan’s family has posted a statement regarding his death that it was an unexpected loss for the family. His loss is counted in as father, grandfather, husband.
Family members said that he always brought magic in their life, exactly like he did with his movies. As a filmmaker, he has made sure to make the audience laugh and be happy for sure.
He died in his home which is in Montecito California. He was active in the industry from 1968 to 2022 (till he died).
