Set to premiere on February 16, 2022, and to be released every Wednesday, K-drama ‘Thirty-Nine’ is created by JTBC. Kim Sang-ho directed the series. Yoo Yeong-ah has written the script of this South Korean drama series about the individual and mutually dependent lives of three women. Three friends are on the verge of turning forty years old and their journey of friendship, love, and life is the main plot of the series.

These three women are Cha Mi-jo, Jeong Chan-young, and Jang Joo-hee- all thirty-nine years old. Cha Mi-jo is a director of Gangnam Dermatology Clinic where Jeong Chan-young is an acting teacher and Jang Joo-hee is the cosmetics manager in the department store. Son Ye-jin, Jeno Mi-do, and Kim Ji-hyun play the roles of Cha Mi-jo, Jeno Chan-young, and Jang Joo-hee respectively.

Based on Hun’s Daum Webtoon of the same name this South Korean drama is created by Choe Gyeong-suk with Han Dong-hwa directing it. The series revolves around Shim Deok-chul who is a seventy years old mailman now retired. He had a secret desire of learning ballet throughout his life.

Now retired, he wants to pursue this dewan but his family does not really want to support which they consider as risky, weird, and inappropriate for this age. He nevertheless joins a ballet academy. There he comes across a twenty-three years old dancer Lee Chae-rok.

Park In-hwan plays the character of protagonist Shim Deok-chul with Song Kang playing Lee Chae-rok. The series ran from March 22 to April 27 of 2021.

Though not primarily a story of friends helping each other out in life’s journey, this K-drama is about one divided self of one single person uplifting the other-self. These two selves are Bahn Ha-ni’s younger and current selves.

She meets her seventeen years old self one day and discovers the younger self to be much more happy, enthusiastic, and passionate. With the help of this younger self will Bahn Ha-ni now be happy again by healing her wounds?

Choi Kang-hee plays the present thirty-seven years old self of Ban Ha-ni and Lee Replays the seventeen years old self. The series is originally adapted from Kim Hye-jung’s novel of 2011 ‘Fantastic Girl’. It ran from February 17 to April 8 of 2021.

Hospital Playlist‘ belongs to the ‘Wise Life’ franchise succeeding ‘Prison Playbook’. The series centers on five doctors who have been best friends from their time in medical school. Now all of them are in their 40s. Lee Ik-jun specializes in liver surgery and is an assistant professor of general surgery.

Another doctor Kim Jun-wan, a coldly professional person, is an associate professor in cardiothoracic surgery. As an assistant professor of gynecology and obstetrics, we can see Yang Seok-hyeong. The genius Ahn Jeong-won is an assistant professor of pediatric surgery. And as the only woman in the group Chae Song-hwa is an associate professor in neurosurgery.

Jo Jung-suk, Yoo Yeon-seok, Jung Kyung-ho, Kim Dae-myung, Jeno Mi-do play as Lee Ik-jun, Ahn Jeong-won, Kim Jun-wan, Yang Seok-hyeong, Chae Song-hwa respectively. The series ran from March 12 of 2020 to September 16 of 2021.
