Zoe Saldana Had To Repost An Instagram After Getting In Trouble With Marvel

Before removing the message, Zoe Saldana, who plays Gamora in the Marvel films, mistakenly released spoilers for her next film Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3.

In a recent Instagram post, Zoe Saldana, who plays Gamora in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, made a blunder on Monday when she accidentally divulged more than the company wanted. Since then, the actor has taken down the post.

On Sunday, Zoe took to Instagram to provide another behind-the-scenes peek at her metamorphosis into Gamora. She’s shared a number of similar posts in the past. The post, however, contained information that Marvel Studios did not want to be made public at this time.

The video in the tweet featured Zoe donning a dark robe and wearing green Gamora make-up while reading a Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3 script. Some parts of the script in Zoe’s hands were readable and could contain cinematic spoilers, as eagle-eyed fans noticed.

The actor quickly erased the message and replaced it with a new one that said, “Due to Marvel Security, I had to take this down before. Let’s just focus on the Mate!!!!! #mate #gamora #bebe now that I’ve covered what they don’t want you to see.” The script had been scrawled over in green this time.

Marvel movies are nearly usually steeped in secrecy, with Marvel Studios taking extreme precautions to prevent leaks and spoilers throughout development. James Gunn, who also directed the first two films in the franchise, is in charge of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3. The film picks up after the events of Avengers: Endgame and is part of Phase 4 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Chris Pratt, Dave Bautista, Karen Gillan, Vin Diesel, Bradley Cooper, and Sylvester Stallone all reprise their roles from prior Marvel movies in this film. Adam Warlock will also be played by Will Poulter.

The film is now in production, with a May 5, 2023 release date planned. Director James Gunn stated in a recent interview that the third installment will be the franchise’s final installment.
