Based on the 1980s prime time soap opera ‘Dynasty’, Sallie Patrick, Josh Schwartz, Stephanie Savage developed this American TV Series with few changes but the horrible schemes in an affluent setting of money and power remain.

‘Dynasty’ opens with Fallon Carrington, a cunning power-hungry woman who is the heiress of the family company. But things begin to slip out of her hands suddenly when her billionaire father becomes engaged to Cristal who poses a threat to her previously assured position leading Fallon to plot a devious scheme to secure her power.

To complicate the situation further several characters appear in the course like Cristal’s nephew who becomes romantically involved with Fallon’s brother, ex-wife of Fallon’s father, their other children, etc.

Elizabeth Gillies, famously known for her teen role in Nickelodeon’s ‘Victorious’ as Jade West stars as Fallon Carrington. In the United States ‘Dynasty’ premiered on the CW on October 11, 2017. The Dynasty season 5 was released on December 20, 2021. It won the People’s Choice Awards for Best Revival Show of 2018.

She comes to the beach house of the Hamptons with the false identity of Emily Thorne. Beside the beach house is the mansion of the Graysons who framed her father before killing him in jail. Amanda’s main target is the Grayson matriarch Victoria.

But her path to take vengeance is not only troubled with the risk of such schemes, but also with the possibility of her getting emotionally attached with people while acting and pretending. Emily VanCamp and Madeleine Stowe play the roles of the two women Amanda and Victoria respectively. The show ran from September 21, 2011, to May 10, 2015, on ABC.

Here not only money and power are on the plate, but religion also makes all these more complicated. This American prime-time soap opera is created by Craig Wright. The plot follows the Greenleaf family with all their scandalous secrets, lies, and their beloved church.

Bishop James Greenleaf and Lady Mae Greenleaf are the main characters of the series who are the patriarch and matriarch of the family. Though the members of the family actually care for each other and struggle to keep the family as one and binding, this struggle becomes harder and harder by the obstacles of adultery, lies, sibling rivalry, etc.

When Grace Greenleaf, the estranged daughter of the Greenleaf family comes back home twenty years after the suspicious death of her sister Faith, things go more awry.

Keith David and Lynn Whitfield star as James and Mae Greenleaf. Merle Dandridge plays the role of Pastor Grace Greenleaf. The series ran for five seasons from June 21, 2016, to August 11, 2020.

Axelrod is an extremely wealthy and powerful man who uses aggressive and often illegal techniques to secure high returns. Chuck Rhoades, United States Attorney is in the harsh attempt of prosecuting him.

A large ensemble cast supports the story of the show with Damian Lewis and Paul Giamatti as Bobby Axelrod and Chuck Rhoades respectively. The series premiered on January 17, 2016, on Showtime with the sixth season airing very recently on January 23, 2022.

He begins to train the sons. One of them is Empire CFO, one is an R&B songwriter and singer and the other one is a rapper. Inevitably the three sons have to compete against each other to take over the company.

In the meantime, Lucious’s ex-wife comes back from prison after a long time sentence and tries to take control of both the company and the sons. Terrence Howard plays the role of Lucious Lyon. The series ran from January 7, 2015, to April 21, 2020, on Fox.

Jesse Armstrong created this satirical comedy-drama that also tells the story of brothers vying for positions in their father’s company. ‘Succession‘ centers around the wealthy Roy Family and their company Waystar Royko.

After Logan Roy, the family patriarch’s health begins to decline, his four sons all of whom have strikingly different characteristics from each other, start preparing for a fatherless besides securing their individual place in the company. The series premiered on June 3, 2018, on HBO and received a number of nominations.
