5 Tom Holland Movies: The newest youngest Spider-Man hides a lot beneath his spider suit. That is to say, there are some other avatars besides the ordinary high school boy turned superhero.

Though most of us know Tom Holland as Peter Parker only, he is an efficient actor who has been acting in a number of different roles from a very young age.

This twenty-five years old British actor started his career at the Victoria Palace Theatre in the titular role of ‘Billy Elliot the Musical’. His first introduction as the Spider-Man of the current generation occurred in 2016 in ‘Captain America: Civil War‘ and from them he gained international recognition.

It is the film debut of Holland. This Spanish Disaster Drama is directed by J.A. Bayona and is an award-winning film. The plot of the film is set against the disastrous tsunami of the Indian Ocean in 2004. The Bennett family consisting the mother Dr. Maria Bennett, father Henry Bennett, Lucas (Tom Holland), Thomas, Simon- their three sons go to Thailand during the Christmas holiday.

On Christmas Eve they settle in the newly made Orchid Beach Resort. But on the third day, the monstrous tsunami of the Indian Ocean deluges the area. The older brother Lucas, who is a twelve years old boy, becomes separated from her mother from the rest and does not reunite with his father and brothers before her mother’s surgery.

Tom Holland won London Film Critics Circle Award under the category ‘Young British Performer of the Year’ for acting in this movie.

4. The Lost City of Z (2016)-

Tom Holland shares the screen here with two other iconic actors Charlie Hunnam and Robert Pattinson. One of the earliest originals of Amazon, this film though was not a huge box-office success but received acclamation from the critics.

The plot surrounds an expedition by Percy Fawcett (Hunnam) to find a lost city inside Amazon with Henry Costin (Pattinson), his fellow explorer, and his wife, and Jack Fawcett, his son, played by Tom Holland.

In the film, Holland shares some praiseworthy moments with Charlie Hunnam which undoubtedly contributed to his later more successful career.

Starring Tom Holland as the main character ‘Cherry’ is an American crime drama that is based on Nico Walker’s autofictional novel of the same name. The plot follows a college student named Cherry as he grows into a PTSD-inflicted veteran.

He marries Emily, a fellow college student with whom he fell in love at first sight. But both of them eventually become addicted to opioids which finally leads Cherry to rob a bank. ‘Cherry’ was released on February 26, 2021, and stars Ciara Bravo as Emily beside Holland in the titular character.

2. Spider-Man: Homecoming (2017)-

Now we have come to the place which ultimately gave Tom Holland the recognition he deserved. The plot of this movie is set after the incidents of Avengers where Peter Parker, an ordinary college student with a double life of ‘Spider-Man’ becomes involved with the superheroes by Iron Man- Tony Stark.

Thrilled by the experience of the Avengers, Peter returns home where he has to balance his ordinary life and his superhuman identity. But he soon becomes entangled in the case of Jackson Brice and Herman Schultz making Vulture suit and becomes bound to use his superhuman power to fight the evil.

‘Spider-man: Homecoming’ releases on June 28 of 2017 in Hollywood and July 7 in the United States in the same year. It made a huge box office success with Holland winning the Teen Choice Awards with Zendaya.

This latest spider-man movie brings together Spider-Man (Tom Holland) and Dr. Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) together with Peter now revealed as the superhero Spider-Man.

Moreover, fans are extra delighted to see Holland acting beside the previous Spider-Mans Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield whose appearances were kept secret by Marvel and Sony. ‘No way home‘ is by far the most happening of all the Spider-man movies involving more than one universe as a consequence of Dr. Strange’s involvement.

There is no doubt that the Spider-man movies have helped and are helping Tom to be a better actor every time which we are sure he will apply in greater movies in the future.
