Must Watch Series Like ‘Forecasting Love and Weather’

‘Forecasting Love and Weather’ is an upcoming K-drama that is set to release on February 12, 2022, on Netflix. There will be twelve episodes in the show starring Park Min-young, Yoon Park, Song Kang, and Yura.

The series is set in the Korea Meteorological Administration which is a weather forecasting office. Jin Ha-Kyung is a dedicated worker of the office who keeps herself isolated from the rest of the workers. But when Lee Shi-Woo comes to work in the office and impressed Jin Ha-Kyung with his obsession with the weather, he eventually begins to melt the ice of her heart.

Though the series is yet not streamed and we don’t know how the arch of their chemistry will go on, one thing is for sure. That is their chemistry is going to happen in the office. Office romance is always a very interesting topic for TV Series, especially since the famous sitcom of the early 20s ‘The Office’.

This mockumentary American sitcom is based on the BBC series of the same name that ran from 2001 to 2003. The series is set in Dunder Miffin Paper Company of Scranton, Pennsylvania where a motley group of office workers executes a number of hilarious misadventures.

The ensemble cast of ‘The Office’ includes Steve Carell, Jenna Fischer, Rainn Wilson, John Krasinski, etc, Leslie David Baker, etc.

What’s Wrong with Secretary Kim? (2018)-

Based on the novel of the same name by Jung Kyung-yoon published in 2013, this series is another K-drama that is very popular among the viewers. The story revolves around Lee Young-joon and Kim Mi-so with the former being the vice-chairman of a major corporation and the latter his nine years long secretary.

As Mi-so decides to resign from the job, Young-joon takes drastic measures to keep her as the secretary. But Mi-so has her own issues to cope with. Her past traumatic experience bounds her to look for the elusive man from her past.

But when Young-joon begins to help her in her journey a binding of romantic feelings slowly build up between them.

The series stars Park Seo-joon as Lee Young-joon and Park Min-young as Kim Mi-so, the titular secretary. The series ran from July 6 to July 26 of 2018 for 16 episodes on Netflix.

Brooklyn Nine-Nine (2013-2021)-

Another beloved sitcom is set in an office. This time in the fictional 99th Precinct of Brooklyn, New York City Police Department making it a police procedural comedy. The show opens up with Raymond Holt, a serious and intellectual detective becoming the new commanding officer of a team of detectives.

The love story of coworkers Jake and Amy is something that unfolds beautifully. Their on-screen romance, spiced up with the constant comedy is adored by the audience.

The first episode of ‘Brooklyn Nine-Nine‘ aired on September 17, 2013, and the last episode is dated September 16, 2021. Andy Samberg and Melissa Fumero play the roles of Jake and Amy respectively.

The series was nominated for a number of awards as well as acquired praise for its portrayal of the LGBTQ+ community winning the GLAAD Media Award and Outstanding Comedy Series for it.

Grey’s Anatomy (2005- Present)-

The well-known plot of this American medical drama is about a group of surgical interns, attendings, and residents who grow into seasoned doctors while coping with personal and professional relationships.

The main focus is upon Meredith Grey who is the daughter of a renowned surgeon Dr. Ellis Grey and herself an aspiring doctor. Meredith tries to balance personal and professional issues with fellow surgeons in Seattle Grace Hospital.

The series was originally released on March 27, 2005, and still running. It is the longest-running scripted primetime show on ABC starring Ellen Pompeo as Meredith Grey and Sandra Oh, Katherine Heigl, Justin Chambers among other cast members.

This American sitcom is about some Indiana town’s public officials as they pursue various projects in order to make their city a better place. It mainly focuses on Leslie Knope who is a mid-level bureaucrat who wishes to help Ann, a local nurse in turning a disused construction site into a community park. But they have to go through some red-tapism and selfish neighbors.

The series was first released on April 09, 2009, and ended on February 24, 2015, with a special episode on April 30, 2020. Amy Poehler and Reshida Jones star as Leslie and Ann respectively.
