Raising Dion Season 2 Trailer Revealed Dion’s Growing Abilities and How he’ll defeat Crooked Man?

Raising Dion Season 2 Updates: The first official trailer for Season 2 of Raising Dion, the superhero series centered on Dion (Ja’Siah Young), a kid super with kickass skills, was released by Netflix earlier today.

For those of you who thought we’d seen the last of the Crooked Man (Jason Ritter) following the series finale, the trailer indicates that he’s back, spiteful, and seemingly raising the dead. Is there ever going to be a break for Atlanta?

The clip also shows how Dion has improved his skills in the two years since the events of the previous season. Dion is torn between wanting to fight crime – after all, with tremendous power comes great responsibility – and the urge to be a regular kid who goes to school and makes friends.

However, Tevin, portrayed by Rome Flynn, appears to be a fantastic new role model for Dion at the Biona facility, assisting him in learning how to handle his abilities.

Nicole (Alisha Wainwright), Dion’s mother, will also have a crush on him. When we spoke with Wainwright in 2019 about the impending series, she indicated a romance storyline for Nicole as one of her hopes for the new show:

“That is an excellent question. Nicole, I believe, from Episode 1 onwards, had a firm no to romance. At the conclusion of the season, there’s a connection between her and her husband, so I’d like to see what love looks like after loss. Is that even possible? What is the nature of the connection?

That’s something I’d like to learn more about. I’m sure there are a lot of power evolutions that may be happening with Dion as he grows up to be a young adult, so I’m interested to see what he can achieve next.”

On February 1, the new season of Raising Dion will release on Netflix. Jason Ritter, Jazmyn Simon, Sammi Haney, Ali Ahn, Gavin Munn, Aubriana Davis, Tracey Bonner, and Josh Ventura star in the film, which is based on Dennis Liu’s comic book.
