Landscapers Season 2 Release Date, Cast, Trailer and Other Details

Published by

Landscapers Season 2 Updates: Olivia Colman and David Thewlis have won over true crime fans with their portrayals of convicted double murderers Susan and Christopher Edwards in the new Sky Atlantic and HBO Max mini-series Landscapers. Susan’s parents’ murder (Patricia and William Wycherley) and the Edwards couple’s subsequent 15-year cover-up is the basis for the series.

Colman’s husband Ed Sinclair wrote the four-part play, which does not follow the typical story-telling style. Director William Sharpe told Sky, “We barely wait to reveal for you the odd structure facts that lay buried in the scary yet beautifully romantic universe of Landscapers.”

In an attempt to convey the complex nature of the case, the story flits between Susan and Christopher’s viewpoints, the police’s perspectives, and the lawyers’ perspectives, using bold pictures and unsettling story cuts (western cowboys are involved).

The following is what Colman had to say about the upsetting situation to Digital Spy: “To have shielded themselves in whatever way they did for 15 years isn’t particularly delicate…

“It takes enormous strength to wake up every morning and say, ‘God, this event happened.'” I’m sure they both wished it hadn’t happened. However, it is irrevocable.”

What Stars Shared about Landscapers Season 2?

Release Date News

Susan’s reclusive parents’ presence is maintained in real life by the pair connecting with distant family members and filing important paperwork on a regular basis. After being solicited for a visit on William’s 100th birthday, they eventually turn themselves in.

The series follows the couple’s confession, arrest, and trial, as well as their recollections of that fateful May bank holiday 15 years ago. Susan and Edward are found guilty of double murder and condemned to 25 years in jail, just as they were in real life. They continue to enforce one thing.

Despite favorable reviews, the show is unlikely to be revived for a second season. In its own unique way, the novel illustrates the conclusion of the Edwards couple’s unusual life of freedom. The Wycherleys have a long history of dishonesty, from their lavish spending on Hollywood memorabilia to duping the police officer who lived next door to them for nearly a decade.

Because Susan and Christopher maintain a story full of inconsistencies and lies, and the police piece together illogical evidence, we’ll never know what happened the day the Wycherley’s were murdered. Susan and Christopher’s reality, on the other hand, is much darker as they ride off into the sunset in the season finale.
