Ralph Emery dies at 88 – Was renowned Country Music DJ & TV Host

Renowned Musician and TV Host Ralph Emery dies today on January 15, 2022, at Nashville’s Tristar Centennial Medical Center as per the reports of AP News told by his son Michael.

His full name was Walter Ralph Emery was one of the best country musicians and DJ he was the best known for his work on the music series, Pop! Goes the Country from 1974 to 1980.

Various Musician and celebrities had shown their contribution and condolence to the family.

The Songwriter Don McLean had said “Ralph Emery was my friend. I did his show many times and he was kind enough to send me a Christmas card every year. He had that special country music knowledge and that voice, Ralph was to country music what Mel Allen was to the Yankees.”

Ralph Emery was born on March 10, 1933, in a small town McEwen, Tennessee who had both the titles Country Music Hall of Fame and the National Radio Hall of Fame and was the DJ from 1957 to 1972. He has been Radio Jockey and hosted various music programs like Goes The Country, Nashville Now, Ralph Emery Live, and Ralph Emery’s Memories. He had a career of more than 50 years and had various achievement awards in his name.

He had studied in broadcasting schools under the guidance of Nashville’s John R (born John Richbourg) and had started his career in Paris. He had interviewed various personalities like Neil Young, Waylon Jennings, Johny Cash, and Bill Clinton in his series Nashville Now.
