Hulu Casts Unsure About Marvel’s Future, Including Hit-Monkey Season 2, MODOK Season 2 And Other TV Series

Marvel’s Future Updates: It appears that Marvel Television’s era is coming to an end. Craig Erwich, the platform’s content boss, expressed doubt on any future Marvel content landing on the platform during the platform’s winter TCA presentation.

The platform has no plans to renew MODOK and Hit-Monkey, the two animated shows that were the last projects made by the production firm originally helmed by Jeph Loeb, according to the executive.

What Could be Marvel’s Future?

“Marvel and the team will make the decisions for that franchise and brand,” Erwich said on the call to reporters. According to Alex Zalben of Decider, Erwich was keen to avoid answering the question of whether or not projects would end up on the streamer.

MODOK and Hit-Monkey were planned to cross over with two other series on the streamer in a common cartoon universe at one point. Simultaneously, Marvel Television was working on a horror-themed live-action segment of the MCU, which included Helstrom and Ghost Rider, although the latter was scrapped.FVFV

Hulu has long been rumored as a potential home for adult-oriented Marvel Studios content, while the Kevin Feige-led studio appears to be happy with its current agreements with Disney+. As of now, Feige and company’s only R-rated entertainment in the works is Deadpool 3.

“We’re working on a script right now, and Ryan is overseeing a script right now,” Feige revealed before adding, “It won’t be [filming] this year.” Ryan is a very busy and well-known actor. We’ve already revealed a few items that we’ll have to manufacture, but it’s wonderful to see it get started. Again, a very different type of character in the MCU, and Ryan is a force of nature, so seeing him bring that character to life is incredible.”

MODOK, Hit-Monkey, and Helstrom’s first seasons are now available on Hulu.
