Cheer Season 3: Will it be made by Netflix? – Release Date and Plot

Published by

Cheer Season 3 would be one of the most-anticipated series after its season 2 has been released on Netflix this week. Here we have a few insights about season 3 of the show, Will it happen or not and when can we get the intimation about season 3 and who can return?

The show has been created by Greg Whiteley who is known for his work in Last Chance You (debuted in 2016) and the movie New York Doll, Resolved, and Mitt. The series follows the story of the Cheerleading team of a college and it revolves around the main lead Coach Monica Aldama her team members and the rivals.

Is Cheer Season 3 announced by Netflix?

Season 3 of Cheer has not been announced yet, But as we know it’s Netflix we will get the announcement very soon as the show has really a good viewership and the reviews on IMDb (On IMDb the show has an 8.1 rating out of 10) and Rotten Tomatoes are also good. So it’s clear that season 3 of the show will certainly happen.

We also had news that the director of the show Greg Whiteley was shooting for two years in Navarro with his team so I think the Cheer Season 3 is already under the final production stage and we may get the announcement very soon.  Cheer star Gabi Butler has given an interview in which she has told about the assumption of Season 3. Here you can have a look at the interview

The Expected Release Date of Season 3

Season 3 of the show has not been officially renewed yet by Netflix, But as above mentioned facts we can assume that we will be notified very soon. But as per our assumption, we can get season 3 in January 2023.

The Returning Cast

I think every character from Cheer Season 2 will reprise their roles in Season 3 and then we will get the whole team of cheerleaders in the upcoming season. Here is the list of the casts who can reprise their roles in Season 3:

The Cast of Season 2 Jerry Harris, Gabi Butler, Monica Aldama, Morgan Simianer, Lexi Brumback, Shannon Woolsey, and La’Darius Marshall will certainly be back in season 3.  The New Cast are Gillian Rupert, Cassadee Dunlap, Maddy Brum, Coach Vontae Johnson, Angel Rice, Jada Wooten, Jeron Hazelwood, and DeVonte “Dee” Joseph.
