DC Comic Shows Coming on Netflix in 2022

DC Comic Show Coming on Netflix in 2022: Though the number of DC Comic Shows, licensed out to Netflix has conspicuously reduced this year, some highly awaited shows are going to be featured meeting the viewers’ expectations as always.

Where on one hand Supergirl, Black Lightning, Arrow have concluded, we will greet shows exclusively in the Netflix original category and also some other shows that were previously not featured in the Netflix United States.

Netflix Original DC Shows coming in 2022:-

1) The Sandman Season 1: coming to Netflix in early 2022

Collider

Written by Neil Gaiman, the DC comic has finally been successfully adapted by David S. Goyer and Allan Heinberg for Netflix. The show is produced by DC Entertainment and Warner Bros. Television. The series will tell the story of Dream, who is the titular Sandman, starred by Tom Sturridge.

Other cast members include Gwendoline Christie, Boyd Holbrook, Charles Dance, Vivienne Acheampong, Sanjeev Bhaskar, Asim Chaudhary, etc.

The American comic book was attempted to adapt several times before. Gaiman, co-producer of the show has confirmed that the story will be adapted without any change but with the necessary alterations to make it updated to modern times.

The filming of the series was originally to begin in May 2020 but was delayed due to Covid 19 outbreak. Finally, in August 2021, it is revealed that the first season of the series has wrapped filming.

2) Sweet Tooth Season 2:

What’s on Netflix

The post-apocalyptic world of Sweet Tooth is one of the best Netflix original creations to date along with being its latest comic book adaptation. After a silver lining and plenty of cliff-hangers, viewers could not help but anticipate the revelation of a newer season of this popular series until the showrunner Jim Mickle twitted in July 2021, “Hope you saved room for more?”

As the big-budget show is set to begin filming in January 2022, it is unlikely that we will have this on Netflix before late 2022(more likely in early 2023). So, the viewers might hold their horses a little. Meanwhile, we expect to see Christian Concert(Gus), Adeel Akhtar(Dr. Singh), Will Forte(Gus’s father), Nonso Anozie(Tommy Jepperd), Neil Sandilands(General Steven Abbot), Dania Ramirez(Aimee), Stefania LaVie Owen(Bear) returning for Season 2.

Other DC shows licensed out to Netflix:

These shows are produced for other networks and the availability of their featuring on Netflix will vary from region to region.

The five episodes of the “Armageddon” event will start season 8 of The Flash. Weekly episodes of Season 8 are available on Netflix outside the US (except Australia and UK).

The season currently consists of five episodes with new ones coming on March 10. Netflix United States subscribers will have to wait for at least July 2022 for having the new season to land.

ComicBook.com

US subscribers will, unfortunately, be unable to see the new season of Titan on Netflix as the show has been moved to HBO Max. In other regions, the fourth season will be featured by the end of 2022 where its companion shows will continue to be away from the platform.

3) DC’s legend of Tomorrow Season 7:

What’s on Netflix

Similar to The Flash season 1, this show is already available in weekly episodes at most regions on Netflix. The United States Netflix is likely to receive season 7 in 2022.

The list will believably reduce in the following years as DC comic has become an integral part of HBO Max.
