Superman and Lois in Season 2 Episode 2 Release Date, Cast, And Other Details

Published by

Superman and Lois in Season 2 Episode 2 Updates: Arrow veteran David Ramsey will appear in a cameo on Batwoman’s third season next month in “The Ties That Bind,” the second episode of Superman & Lois’ second season.

Superman seeks counseling for visions he’s having in the episode, which will premiere on January 18, while Lois’ relationship with her business partner Chrissy appears to be collapsing. Jordan and Sarah are experiencing problems in the meantime, and Natalie Irons appears to be doing little to help. Superman & Lois seemed to be dumping a lot of storylines in the first few episodes.

Hopefully, the CW will keep posting extended “producer’s edits” of the shows on their website the next day. This may provide some breathing room for all of the narratives.

The following is the official summary for “The Ties That Bind.”

THIS EPISODE WAS DIRECTED BY DAVID RAMSEY.

The word “ARROW” has a lot of different connotations. Clark (Tyler Hoechlin) tells Lois (Elizabeth Tulloch) about his vision difficulties and concedes that only one person can heal him. Meanwhile, Lana (Emmanuelle Chriqui) learns some unexpected news as Lois and Chrissy’s feud deepens (Sofia Hasmik).

TV Fanatic

Because Ramsey appears in the episode, there is a hidden Easter egg in the title. Even if it isn’t often used, we like the word “The Ties That Bind”: “The Ties That Bind” is the title of a Bruce Springsteen song (From the 1980 album The River).

This is notable because the season’s penultimate episodes were titled after Bruce Springsteen songs in seven of the show’s eight seasons. After a Bruce Springsteen song, the backdoor pilot for the shelved Green Arrow and the Canaries spinoff was named “Living in the Future.” Swamp Thing’s 13 episodes, which have a tenuous connection to the Arrowverse due to the world and the Crisis on Infinite Earths crossover series, are all titled after Bruce Springsteen songs, implying a theme.

Superman & Lois will return with fresh episodes on January 11 at 8 p.m. ET/PT, following Naomi, The CW’s newest DC drama. Despite the fact that it features Superman, it’s unclear whether the project will be part of the CW’s shared DC universe. The CW’s “The Ties That Bind” premieres on January 18th.
