Virgin River Season 5 Release Date, Hope’s Recovering, New Characters, And Latest Details

Virgin River Season 5 Updates: With Netflix renewing Virgin River for not one, but two more seasons following the end of its third season in 2021, the show’s future seems bright.

As such, Martin Henderson (Jack) and Alexandra Breckenridge (Mel) weren’t slow to get the following season ended, revealing that filming for the fourth season had ended before the year was out.

The season 5 wait may be longer than first anticipated, though, as Breckenridge revealed on Instagram. On a relatively consistent and regular basis, while the series was on Netflix, Virgin River fans were treated to emotional and heart-wrenching moments pretty regularly.

The show premiered in December 2019 before returning for a second season in November 2020, and a third season was released eight months later in July 2021.

Virgin River’s fourth season is currently in production, so the show is likely to follow the consistent trend of coming out slightly earlier than its last series.

According to Breckenridge, Virgin River season five has been delayed unexpectedly, throwing any early plans for its release into uncertainty. Fans of Season 5 who were eagerly awaiting the show’s latest update, “Pushed”,  posted by Breckinridge are extremely disappointed with this news.

Virgin River Season 4 is an adaptation of the  Robyn Carr novel series, we don’t know the exact Broadcasting date yet, but all we know is that it will be “coming soon” in 2022.

Netflix announced in September 2021 that the series had been renewed for a fifth season, as reported by Hollywood North.

Filming for Virgin River season 4 started in August 2021.

Netflix confirmed that seasons 4 and 5 are in the works just two months after season 3 debuted. While the highly romantic series is expected to return for its fourth season in 2022, it’s still unclear whether Virgin River will return for season 5.

IMDB Pro says the fifth season will likely air in 2022, but we would take this information lightly as this could simply be a provisional release date that could change.

Despite our hopes for a release in 2022, we think it’s more likely that the fifth season will arrive in 2023. Of course, until we find out when season 4 arrives, we won’t know much about season 5.

Annette O’Toole, who had a limited role in season 3 due to the pandemic, will also return for season four and hopefully, once season 4 comes out we will be able to guess the casting and plot for the next one as well.

Hope’s fate after her near-fatal accident will be resolved during season 4, as well as what will happen to Brady after taking the fall for Jack’s shooting. Meanwhile, Christopher and Connie will face danger with Preacher drugged and kidnapped.
