Season 2: This season will deal with the second book, ‘The Viscount who Loved Me,’ and as per the story, Anthony Bridgerton’s love story will be the main plot. The story revolves around how Anthony is in search of his wife, and at the same time, he fears that he will die young as his dad.

The series took a twist when Edwin’s sister Kate and Anthony started feeling for each other and when they were found kissing each other, they were forced into an unplanned marriage. Alike Anthony’s fear, he lives a longer life with four kids and a wife.

There is terrible news for the fans of Bridgerton as Duke of Hating, Simon Basset is no more a part of the series. Netflix has announced that the character will no more be part of the show.

“Dear Readers, while all eyes turn to Lord Anthony Bridgerton’s quest to find a Viscountess, we bid adieu to Rege-Jean page, who so triumphantly played the Duke of Hasting’s role,” Netflix announced through a message from Lady Whistledown on the official Bridgerton Instagram account.

The fans will miss the presence of Simon on screen, and he will always be a part of the Bridgerton. The duke’s departure would not be a shocker for fans and the stars because the series is based on the story and goes on in the same way.

Regé-Jean Page Will Return for Bridgerton Season 2 or not?

TVLine

As mentioned earlier, Simon is no more a part of Bridgerton Season 2 but it is still a mystery that whether he will be part of the series or not. Maybe he would make his entry in the third season as the producer has hinted that she would be going with 8 seasons for the show. The fans are still expecting that Simon will make his re-entry in the series in the further seasons but it is confirmed that he is not going to make his entry in the Bridgerton Season 2.

The fans are still keeping their hopes high and even a post of Shonda Rhimes has given hope to the fans in which she had hinted that “Duke is never gone. He’s just waiting to be binge-watched all over again.” The handsome duke’s on-screen chemistry wraps up with Daphne solidifying their love story, with the birth of their child.
