In an interview with Men’s Health earlier this year, Hoechlin stated, “It’s not the character that I ever envisioned myself playing, but I think that’s maybe why I’ve been able to play it the way that I have.” “It’s been a lot of fun, and it’s worked out well. I’ve always wanted to play Batman, and I believe that if I ever did, I’d be extremely aware that I was doing so.”

“I appreciate and am looking forward to the challenge,” Hoechlin added. “This isn’t a movie; it’s not as if you prepare for a few months, shoot for a few months, and then you’re done. We’ve been filming for ten months, and we’ll be shooting for at least seven more next year, and it’ll be a yearly event. So, I was looking forward to the challenge of not just getting there, but also keeping it there for a long time.”

Season 2 is predicted to feature a fascinating status quo for the characters, especially with the entrance of Natalie (Tayler Buck), Lois, and John Henry’s daughter from another planet.

“Now, we’re going to go into what it means for him as a dad – the things you’d do for your kids, even if it meant putting yourself in danger,” showrunner Todd Helbing previously said of John Henry’s Season 2 narrative.
